Hey! Thank you guys for all the reviews and support on my previous story! :) So last time I kinda sorta accidentally forgot to put the disclaimer (whoops). So I don't own Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Rick does. Peace out!
Thalia swished and jangled her keys swinging open the familiar wooden door.
"I'm hoooooooome!" she yelled with a smirk untying her combat boots by the door. She drifted off to the kitchen grabbing a bag of chips and then finding Annabeth on the sofa.
"Hey, Thals," she said snatching the bag from her best friend and grinning at Thalia's loud introduction. Of course Thalia didn't actually live at Annabeth's house but she spent so much time over there along with Percy that she referred to it as her own.
The trio had grown up together. Thalia and Percy were cousins and had sucked Annabeth into their group.
'Wait where's Percy?' Thalia thought looking around for his untidy black hair. Voicing her thoughts she said, "Hey Annie where is Kelp Face?"
Annabeth smiled slightly at the nicknames. "He's got swim practice as usual."
Throwing her head back against the couch Thalia sighed dramatically, "Who would've thought?"
"I know right?! I mean Percy, at the pool?" Annabeth said sarcastically and flicked out her wrist pausing the tv.
Grinning at their banter Thalia stuffed a handful of chips in her mouth turning her attention to the recently paused tv. "Whatchya watchin?" she asked.
Annabeth rolled her eyes and groaned. "Just one of the positively worst shows ever."
"I thought you loved this show," Thalia said confused.
"I do, but I also really freaking hate it too. It's a lovehate relationship," said the blonde.
Thalia laughed and jumped up grabbing more junk food from the kitchen before plopping on the couch again.
"It's ruining my life!" Annabeth added staring remorsefully at the tv.
"Why?" Thalia asked waving around an Oreo.
"Because," Annabeth said grabbing the Oreo, "those two, won't admit their feelings for each other. Even though it's so freaking obvious." She glared again at the tv screen at the two frozen images on the screen. The beautiful brown haired actress had her hands on her hips her eyes caught mid-roll. The boy childishly had his tongue stuck out at her his eyes affectionate.
Thalia stopped mid grab for another Oreo after someone had stole her other one and and gave her best friend a, 'are you really freaking kidding me,' look.
"What?" she said innocently looking at her best friends electric blue eyes turned on her.
Thalia rolled her eyes expertly and snatched the remote flicking through the channels for a movie. 'Oh, you have no idea,' she thought chomping down on her cookie. Annabeth had no idea how annoying and painfully obvious her and Percy liked each other. Thalia felt like she was in the middle of a reality tv show watching her best friends fall in love so obviously. Annabeth didn't see all the somewhat wistful, loving looks Percy would give her when he thought no one was looking, or how careful his hand was as he softly tucked a few stray blonde hairs behind her ears; Thalia did.
Percy had no idea the way Annabeth would set her jaw and glare at the girls ogling at him at him at his swim meets, or the way she would hold onto him a little longer than necessary burying her head in his chest when he hugged her; Thalia did.
Quite honestly she thought it was adorable, but also tear-your-head-out-of-your-head-annoying when she saw them catch each other staring at the other but then blush and look away.
She would ask them if they liked the other and would either get a bashful snort and 'no of course not' or a incomprehensible response and a rush to change the subject.
Thinking of the devil she heard the front door swing open and the scuffle of shoes being kicked off. "I'm hooooooome!" Percy yelled announcing his arrival just as Thalia had previously done.
He dropped his bag by the front door and then proceeded to the living room. He grinned a trouble maker grin and flopped down on top of the couch seemingly oblivious to the two occupants. Groans and complaints followed. And a couple threats from Thalia as always.
"Kelp Face get off, me or-" Thalia said shoving at his legs.
Said Kelp Face cut off his cousin with a long happy sigh, "How are my two out out off three (the third was his mom of course) favorite girls doing?" he asked ignoring Thalia's threats and Annabeth's grumbles.
"Well you see I'd be a whole lot better if you got off of me," his cousin said with sass continuing in her struggle of getting him off.
If any one had been paying attention to Annabeth they would have noticed her grey eyes lit mischievously a grin spreading across her face. She had a plan, because well she always has a plan.
She snuck her hands out from underneath her and tugged the back of Percy's shirt up exposing his sides.
"Now just what you think-" he was interrupted by assaulting hands poking and pinching at his very exposed and very ticklish sides. He let out a very manly shriek and twisted trying to tug down his shirt, but failed miserably.
All he succeed in doing was rolling off the couch grabbing Annabeth and pulling her down with him. She landed on top of him straddling his waist and grinned as if she was up to no good. Percy's eyes widened and he moved to grab her hands. She was faster though and proceeded to attack his sides and showing no mercy. He laughed and waved his arms around uselessly trying to block her, tears streaming down his cheeks. Annabeth started giggling unable to stop, his contagious laughter spreading. She dropped her head to his chest, both of their bodies shaking with laughter.
The giggles subsided and she lifted her head up catching his bright green eyes sparkling with a raw happiness. Her cheeks hurt from laughing so much and his lopsided smile mirrored hers. He thought looked rather stunning her curly hair hanging around is her face, and her grey eyes were light almost blue. She could smell the chlorine on him his hair still slightly damp from practice as wild and crazy as usual. She found herself wanting to run her hands through it the same way Percy wanted to kiss the corner of her lip next to her dimple on her right cheek.
Thalia looked down at the duo smiling slightly at the duo and then tip toed out of the living room. She felt like she was an intruder on the moment and after all, she was still hungry.
At her best friend's wedding she will be standing in blue dress clutching a bouquet of flowers a smile gracing her lips. She knew they would fall in love, after all she was there the whole time watching it happen. Watching the looks and kisses, the smiles and jealous clouded eyes, all of it so obvious
