Greetings, fellow Mikita fans! Here is a new story from me. It's from that episode where Nikita thought that Michael had died in the explosion that destroyed the man in the wheelchairs' house. I wrote this completely off the top of my head so if there's anything that needs to be added or taken out, please let me know via PM and I will edit the story. Aside from that, enjoy this short one-shot! :)

Disclaimer: I do not own "Nikita" or its' characters. That is all.

"No, he can't be dead. He can't be dead!" I kept chanting in my head as I watched the house, with Michael still inside, get blown into a million pieces. A strangled sob escaped my throat as I thought of the worst. Tears threatened to fall and I didn't do a thing to stop it. Life as I know it is over. Michael is gone, Amanda has won. As I stood within the smoke from the explosion, I vowed revenge. Amanda will die and Michaels' death will be avenged. She once said that she will go after those who are close to me so that I too, will feel her pain. Whatever that pain that she claimed to have suffered through is, I'm sure that she has already forgotten about it. From the very beginning, I thought that Amanda was truly trying to help me become a better person and operative within Division but I was wrong. She is devious, cunning and will do whatever it takes to make those around her to do her bidding. If fairy tales were real, Amanda would be the Evil Queen from Snow White, minus the witchcraft of course; but she has her own way of manipulating people.

As the smoke cleared, I saw a figure coming toward me. I quickly pulled out my gun to defend myself against whoever is coming out from the smoky fog that is the gruel aftermath of the explosion moments before that claimed my Michaels' life. Then, just as I was about to pull the trigger, the figure came out from the smoke and it was Michael! He survived the explosion! I dropped my gun to the ground as if it was a useless object and ran towards him with my arms outstretched. I cried into the crook of his neck as I hugged him with everything I have, making sure that this moment is actually real and not some dream or mirage created by my distraught and emotional mind. I felt two strong arms encircling me as Michael returned my embrace as if telling me that this is real and that everything is going to be alright. More tears flowed down my cheeks as I buried my hands in Michaels' hair, relieved that the love of my life is alive and…I dare not think of the worst again. Michael is alive and that's all that matters.

I then heard Amanda's voice coming from Michaels' com asking for an update. Michael pulled away from me briefly and replied in a cocky, sarcastic tone, "You missed; how about that?" I laughed softly and whispered sweet nothings in his ear as I slowly released him from my arms and rested my forehead against his. I then put my arms around his neck as waves of relief washed over me as the last of the smoke cleared to reveal a clear blue sky with the sun shining brightly down on the earth. "I love you." I said to Michael. Feeling pure joy running through my veins as I smiled from ear to ear, eternally grateful to whatever deity that has spared my beloved Michael. "I love you, too." Michael said with a handsome smile. Then he added, "More than life itself." I hugged him once more as the morning sun shone upon the forest floor. We stayed like that for quite a while, needing nothing else but the comfort of each other.
