Colby was gathering the popcorn and the drinks when he heard his son yelling, "Daddy, it's movie time."
"I'm coming," Colby yelled back as he headed towards the den.
Once he was there, he put the popcorn and drinks down on the coffee table; he handed the bottle of milk to his wife and turned to face Robbie. "Please, don't make a mess," he told his son.
He was about to sit down next to Hallie when the doorbell rang. He looked at her to see if she was expecting anyone, but she wasn't. He glanced at Robbie and tried not to laugh at the expression on his face.
When Colby was out to the den, the little boy looked at his mother. "But Mommy, it's Sunday. Daddy's off," he whined.
Hallie gave their 3-month-old daughter in her arms the bottle. "Robbie, just because the door bell rang, it doesn't mean Daddy has to go to work."
Colby came back into the den with David behind him. "Mommy's right, Squirt," he told Robbie as he sat down next to Hallie.
"Okay," Robbie said.
David noticed the popcorn and the drinks and then he announced, "I'm going to go."
"Uncle David, do you want to stay and watching the movie with us?" Robbie wanted to know.
David looked at Colby and Hallie. They both nodded before he answered, "Sure, kiddo." He sat down in the chair next to the coffee table and asked "What movie?"
"It's that one." The kid pointed to the case on the coffee table by him. Colby held back a laugh as David leaned forward to read the title of the movie.
His friend raised an eyebrow at Colby. "You're joking, right?"
"Nope." Colby smirked.
David shook his head as he read the title again. "Spy School."
