The Vicious, Ferocious Church

Clary's POV:

"Stay still while I put the band aid on!" I hissed. This would be the fourth band aid I have tried to put on Jace and quite frankly I was becoming very frustrated. That spastic nephilm would not stay still long enough for anything!

"How dare he? I have always been so good to him!" Jace asked for the millionth time.

"I have never done anything to him! I have always given him food; I have refilled his water bowl, and even brushed him!" he went on and on and on.

"Okay, maybe I have forgotten to feed him a couple of times, and I haven't always filled his bowl with 'clean' water, but still! It's the thought that counts!"

"Jace! Enough! If you pick a cat up by his tail he is obviously going to scratch or bite you!" I laughed. I found all of this extremely hilarious, but when I continued laughing he didn't seem too thrilled.

"Just put the band aid on Fray." He grumbled

"Okay okay. If it makes you feel better we will put Church in time out and send him to bed before supper" I said in between laughing.

"It's good to know that while I am sitting here pouring blood after an attack from a vicious animal, you are laughing at my wounds!" he joked around.

"Church isn't a vicious animal! And maybe that will teach you to treat animals with love and kindness."

"I'm not treating that retched cat with kindness ever again! He said being very sincere.

Finally getting the band aid on, I packed up the first aid kit and slid it under my bed.

"You want to go get something to eat?" I asked Jace.

"Sure. Lets go my lady" Jace said in a very horrible British accent which made both of us laugh.

We headed out of my room and about halfway down the hallway we heard a soft meow coming from behind us. Jace stopped abruptly and I heard his voice catch in his throat.

"Jace" I said in calm, assuring voice. "Church is just a cat, he didn't know any better. Please don't kill him." Letting go of my arm Jace turned around. He glared at Church with vicious eyes. "You" he said in a soft yet fierce voice. It was like one of those country western movies when two villains come face to face and just stare at each other. All of a sudden Church understood what was going and took off down the hallway with Jace on his tail! They continued running down the hallway until they were out of sight and all I could hear was Jace's footsteps and church hissing. A few minutes passed by and then suddenly I heard a loud thud and a low growl.

"Hey Clary?" I heard Jace say

I sighed. "Yes?"

"You might need to go get the first aid kit again."
