Mabel sprinted into the woods. She needed to get away from her brother. He can't become Ford's apprentice! She'll be without him in California, and he'll get to stay in Gravity Falls with all their friends! No, she won't think about that now. Needs to be alone. She stopped at a tall redwood tree and slumped down against the trunk. The bark was prickly, and she could already tell that she was going to have splinters through her sweater.

Mabel reached into her backpack, looking for her birthday flyer. The birthday that none of her friends would be here for. Instead of the flyer she pulled out a pad of graph paper and a chewed-up pen. Dipper's bag, she thought. Mabel then began to weep. Hot tears dripped down her face and she pulled in her legs and head to her chest and went completely inside of her oversized sweater. Sweater Town.

She stayed like that for a while, until she heard faint footsteps coming towards her. Mabel didn't care who it was, she just stayed curled up in her sweater. Then came a high-pitched, stuttering voice, calling out to her. The voice sounded oddly familiar, but Mabel stayed in her position.

"Sweater Town isn't accepting visitors," she said.

"Mabel, it's m-me. B-Blendin B-Blandin."

Mabel recognized that name. It was the time travel guy! She slowly pulled her head out of her sweater and looked up for confirmation. It was him, sweaty jumpsuit and all.

"The time travel guy? What are you doing here?"

"I heard you say you don't want summer to end right? You don't want to leave Gravity Falls?"

"I'll miss everyone so much, and Dipper isn't even coming with me!"

"What if I told you I can temporarily stop time in Gravity Falls, so summer wouldn't end?"

"What?"

"It's called a time bubble. All I need from you is a little gizmo of your uncle's. Something small he'll never even notice it's gone."

Blendin turned on his watch, which projected a bluish holographic image of what looked like a weird snow globe thing.

"Maybe Dipper has something like that in his nerd bag," Mabel wondered out loud. She dug through the pockets. Finally, she pulled out the item Blendin had showed her. It was glowing slightly, and the weird goop inside it was moving around. The glass dome had a small hairline crack in it. Blendin burst into a smile and exclaimed,

"That's it! That's what I need!"

Mabel held the globe in her hand, curious as to why Blendin wanted it so bad. She looked down at it, then looked at Blendin. She couldn't see his eyes through his goggles, but she could tell they were lit up with excitement.

"Just a little more summer...," Mabel whispered.

She handed the thing to Blendin, who smiled and smashed it on the ground. Mabel jumped up in surprise.

"What?!" she yelled.

Blendin started laughing. It was high-pitched like his voice. But it begun to morph in to a lower, more evil laugh. Bill's laugh. He lifted up his goggles, revealing bright, yellow eyes. Bill's eyes. He then proceeded to remove himself from the body of Blendin Blandin. The body of the time traveler went limp and flopped to the ground. Bill, now in his triangular form, snapped his fingers, causing Mabel to fall into a state of unconsciousness. Bill, now having new abilities now that the rift was opened, morphed into his new form, then proceeded to do a happy little jig. He went over to Mabel, and gently touched her forehead.

"Sorry, Shooting Star. You'll thank me in the future."

He then disappeared into the forest, heading to where he know he's find who he was looking for.

The Mystery Shack.
