M: This really got away from me. I apologize. But, I've got nowhere to put it so I guess I'll shove it here and see what happens. Thanks for peeking at it xo
This was ridiculous, monstrous, the worst thing that had ever happened to him - and don't think for a moment he forgot being completely broke and resorting to the stripper-hood. He shook his head and brought his hands back up to cover his face. This was not happening. It was impossible. Nobody with any inch of sanity could ever, ever, think that Superman was cooler than Batman.
"He's got all those superpowers!" She argued but she was finished. It would take him roughly six minutes to finish his fries and then he was out of there. He could never date a girl who didn't have faith in The Bat. "It doesn't really matter though, does it?" Apparently, she noticed the turn in the conversation, his switching off. He glanced up at her with an expression that could only read 'of course it does'. She let out a little laugh like she didn't believe he was really mad.
His argument was interrupted by a light buzz on his right leg, he reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone - he had a text from Blaine, reminding him to give her a chance. He sighed and slipped his phone back into his pocket, ready to forgive and forget.
"Batman doesn't need superpowers." His tone was low, the annoyance wasn't completely out of his system but he was going to work it out. "He's super intelligent and he uses science to-" She cut him off. Gee, this girl was really pushing it.
"He didn't design the gadgets, Morgan Freeman did." Sam just about died. Morgan Freeman designed them. Morgan Freeman. It no longer mattered that she was super-hot with a ton of cash and a killer voice. No matter what they were doing, in two weeks or ten years, he would always remember her mistaking Lucius Fox for Morgan Freeman. It would haunt him, it really would. There was no future for them.
He smiled wide and thanked her for meeting him, grabbing his jacket and heading for the door. She called after him but he pretended not to hear. There was literally nothing she could say that would make him want to turn around and continue their date.
The first thing he did when he got in his truck was dial Blaine. It rung twice before Blaine answered, he wasn't amused, "it's only four. You left early. Why? Please tell me it wasn't about superheroes again."
"She insulted Bruce!" Sam explained, exasperated. Blaine sighed.
"You're never going to get a girlfriend."
