A/N: A sort of crack piece. I was challenged to do MalificentxXemnas, so I'm giving it a try! Enjoy in the weirdness that is their love!

Empty Darkness
She sneered at him when he offered to let her join with them. As if she would lower herself to consort with such fools. Their petty games are of no interest to her. Besides, she does not share her power with anyone who aspires to rise greater than herself. There are exceptions: she did bind together with those from other worlds in an effort to claim Kingdom Hearts for her own, but she had always planned on their downfall. With him, she knows he has no illusions of holding her higher than himself. He sees himself as her equal and will never defer to her in anything.
He is a handsome man, she cannot deny that. Even with her heart seeped in evil, she is not far enough removed from the world that she cannot appreciate the attractiveness of another creature. But she is wary of him- if possible, he is even more dangerous than she is. After all, she can still feel. He feels nothing. Not sorrow, nor joy, nor rage. Yes, this silver haired man with the glowing gold eyes pretends well, but he will never share in the wicked glee she feels as a result of her deeds. That makes him very treacherous indeed. She would not like to be like him, she decides. She enjoys the way her heart races with perverse pleasure when she twists others lives to weave her own dark pattern. He is empty, empty, empty, a void of all those emotions that are essential to her existence.
"You are so full of emotion," he tells her. "You consort with the Heartless, and yet you sill have one of your own." He has moved closer and before she can stop it, he is holding her, his ear pressed to where her heart beats. "It may be black and seeped in darkness, but it is there." Those gold orbs close as he listens to its rhythm. "I envy you that."
Jerking away, her voice is a low hiss to cover the increased rate of her treacherous heart. "You would do well to keep your distance."
"So much emotion." Those hypnotic sun colored eyes are fixed on her with fascination. "It is. . . intoxicating."
"Enjoy it in others," she replied scornfully, drawing her black cloak tighter around herself. "I will not ally myself with you."
"Such a shame." He sighed softly. "I enjoy your dark emotion, your dark heart."
She will never admit it, but she feels flattered by his admiration. "You will have to find another then."
"There can never be another to equal you."
Her eyes narrow. "Flattery will get you nowhere."
"I know." His lips curved into a smile. "But it never hurt."
She couldn't help but return the smile. "Perhaps not." She turned from him, her robes fluttering like scraps of night around her thin frame. "But you know as well as I that nothing could ever work between us."
"Who ever said I expected it to?" His own black cloak whispered as he closed the distance between them once more a hand moving around her waist.
She laughed, a sound that made most shiver and cringe, but only made him crave her darkness more. "Well then. Flatter me more and perhaps I shall visit you more often."
