Hi, guys! This is my second fanfic and my first Left Behind fanfic! Hope you like it! :)

Chapter 1:

"Look! There's Kenzie Wilson. She's so weird!" exclaimed Camryn, a tall girl with long, thick, blonde hair and green eyes.

Hannah, Camryn's best friend, nodded in agreement. "I know, right? With her being a- what does she call herself?"

Camryn shrugged.

"I'm a Christian, " came a clear voice.

The two girls spun around. "Oh, it's you." Camryn put her hands on her hips.p

"Yeah. It's me. And Jesus is real! He's not a fairytale!" Kenzie replied firmly.

Hannah snorted. "Yeah, right! And where did you get you get this nonsense? From a book full of fairy tales!" She tossed her dark hair and raised her eyebrows at Kenzie.

"The Bible is not a fairy tale!" Kenzie protested.

"Look, Kenzie, we get it. You're a sweet little girl who like to play pretend. That's great! But leave us out, okay?" Camryn interrupted.

"Yeah. Because whether you like it or not, we are big girls who know fact from fiction," Hannah said harshly.

Kenzie opened her mouth to protest, but just then the warning bell rang. Bring! "Time for class!" Camryn exclaimed, and the two girls bolted to their homeroom classroom, leaving Kenzie to stare after them helplessly.

They slid into their seats just as the final bell rang. Mrs. Nelson, their homeroom teacher, raised her eyebrows at them. "Just barely, girls! Next time, come in a little earlier."

"Yes, Mrs. Nelson. We'll try," Camryn said, smiling brightly.

Mrs. Nelson smiled back. "I'm sure you will, dear."

Then the intercom crackled. "Good morning, students!" came Principal Bowen's voice. It was time for morning announcements. "It's another great day for Walton High School. I have four announcements to make today. First of all, our softball team won the game against the the Jays! Congratulations, Tigers!"

The class cheered! Hannah, who played with the Tigers, smiled proudly.

"My next announcement is about P.E. P.E. will be held in the gym. And finally, it is Miss Reed's birthday! Happy birthday, Miss Reed! There will be a staff meeting after school today at four. And that concludes today's announcements!"

"All right, class. We have ten minutes until first period starts, so count this as a study hall. I am going to take attendance," Mrs. Nelson informed the class.

As Mrs. Nelson began taking attendance, Hannah tossed Camryn a note. Camryn glanced cautiously at the teacher. Mrs. Nelson had her back turned to the girls, so she quickly unfolded the note. Isn't it strange that Kenzie seemed so adamant about her Christianity?

Camryn quickly wrote a note back. Maybe a little. But that's just Kenzie. After handing Hannah the note, she got out her notebook and started doodling.

Camryn quickly got a note back. I guess you are right. Where is Kenzie, anyway?

Camryn scribbled down a return note: Don't know. By the way, congrats on the game. She couldn't send it though, because Mrs. Nelson turned around.

"Alice, Jordan, and Caleb, stop talking," she scolded. "Now, have any of you seen Joshua Dale or Kenzie Wills?"

A girl in the back row slowly raised her hand. "Yes, Julie?"

As soon as Mrs. Nelson's back was turned, Camryn tossed Hannah the note.

"I saw Kenzie just a little while ago in the courtyard, Mrs. Nelson," the girl said timidly.

Just then the door opened, and Kenzie stepped in cautiously. "Sorry, Mrs. Nelson," she said, her cheeks red.

"There she is! Come in, child, and put your tardy slip on my desk, please." Kenzie did so. "Remember, Kenzie, this is the second time. If you do it again this quarter, you'll get a detention!"

"Yes, ma'am. I'm sorry, " Kenzie said earnestly.

Hannah tossed Camryn another note. Thanks! :)

"Go find a seat, Kenzie. Actually, it's time for first period. Class dismissed!"
