Nowhere to Go, but Down
The set was busy. People were scrambling around, trying to finish last minute preparations for the shoot. The cast members of Fuwa Sho's latest PV were adjusting their costumes and getting touch ups on their makeup.
Sho was sitting on his chair, admiring himself with a mirror. He turned his head, appreciating all of his good features. He looked good with golden hair. It looked natural. His cheekbones looked aristocratic. His face was perfect in every sense of the word. There were millions of screaming girls who swooned over his looks. Why shouldn't they? He was pretty hot.
"Your vanity astounds me," commented Kyoko.
Sho shot a glare at her. She was standing next to him, her arms crossed across her chest. She stared straight ahead, not glancing at him.
"Why should it surprise you?" asked Sho, haughtily turning his nose up in the air. "I'm young, hot, and perfect. What more could I ask for?"
She turned her head towards him slightly. He was surprised to see that she was not glaring at him.
"Just remember this, Shotaro," she said quietly, "with perfection, there is nowhere to go, but down."
Kyoko uncrossed her arms and walked straight ahead, not looking back.
Written for Three Letter Prompts, Prompt #4 from The Muse Bunny. The three words were:
Mirror. Fall. Vanity.
The moment I saw those three words, I immediately thought of Sho and his floating ego.
I hope you enjoyed it. :)
