After the Relay for Life, I was helping my mom clean up her apartment while listening to music to make it look nice when my old friends came to visit. "Mom, I miss my friends," I told my mom. "Well, you'll be seeing them soon, Angel," Mom replied. Every weekend, I lived with my mom, Nadine Krzton in an apartment on Pacific Avenue. "I see you still like Maroon 5, huh, Angel?" Mom asked. "Yes, I do, Mom." Suddenly, the doorbell rang. "I think your friends are here, Angel," Mom reminded me. I then went to get the door, and there stood my childhood friends Sarah, James, and Henri. "Sarah! James! Henri! It's so good to see you three guys again!" All 4 of us then gave each other a group hug. "Come on in!" Mom replied in a cordial tone of voice. "Mom, you remember Sarah, James, and Henri, right?" I asked. "Nice to see you again, Mrs. Krzton!" Sarah exclaimed. "You too, Mrs. Krzton," James stated. "It's been a long time since we've seen you, Angel," Henri told me. "What are you listening to there?" James asked. "This is Maroon 5, James," I explained. "They've come out with one of the best songs called "Makes Me Wonder". Do you guys want to hear it?" "Sure," Sarah replied. I then turned up the CD player so everyone could hear the song. "I thought of you guys when I first heard this song," I explained to my old friends. "Why is that, Angel?" James asked. "Because it's timeless, just like my relationship with you three," I remarked. "Well, that's very nice of you to say, Angel," Sarah stated nicely. "As a matter of fact, I have a great idea for our fall 2011 band show. Let's ask Mr. Beresik if we could do the music of Maroon 5." "Who is Mr. Beresik?" James asked. "He is the high school band director, who has been teaching at Highlands ever since 2006," I explained to him. "Hey, we could even turn Makes Me Wonder into a band front feature, since it's such a good dance song!" "I think that would be wonderful, Angel," Sarah commented. "I have some other news for you guys," I told my friends. "I was talking to my best friends, Carly and Alex at the Relay for Life today, and Carly plans to try out for drill team captain, and Alex and her guy friend, Justin want to try out for drum majors. "I wonder how Alex and Justin would feel if we decided to try out for drum major," James proclaimed. "Are we really going to try out for drum major, James?" Sarah asked. "Those two would have to work extra hard for the position, because you guys are obviously more experienced and responsible, right?" I asked my friends. "I guess so, Angel," Sarah replied. "So, do you guys want to go back to the Relay for Life with me?" I offered. "Actually, you guys could hang out at the Pittsburgh Mills Mall together while I go meet with my friends in downtown Pittsburgh," Mom announced. "That sounds like an even better idea, Mom!" I exclaimed proudly. "Thank you very much!" Mom then gave me some money and James drove us all down to the mall, where we hung out for a couple hours. "I've missed you guys so much, and it will be nice to have you guys in the band with us," I said nicely to Sarah, James, and Henri.
