A/N: Fourth in my missing moments series. Did Hermione catch up with Ron and just not tell Harry?
"Ron wrenched the chain from over his head and cast the locket in a nearby chair. He turned to Hermione.
'What are you doing?'
'What do you mean?'
'Are you staying, or what?'
'I …' She looked anguished. 'Yes – yes, I'm staying. Ron, we said we'd go with Harry, we said we'd help –'
'I get it. You choose him.'" (Deathly Hallows, pg 254, UK edition)
On The Contrary…
'I get it. You choose him.'
Ron turned on his heel and barged out of the tent, his anger taking over his other emotions.
'Ron!'
He refused to stop and instead picked up his pace.
'Ron, please! Please!'
Ron whipped around and saw Hermione running after him, slipping and sliding on the rain-soaked grass as tears streamed down her face. Her hair was soaked and plastered to her face and it took all of Ron's self-control not to forget that he was pissed and just grab Hermione, kissing her until they both blacked out from lack of oxygen.
'Ron, don't go. Please, don't go,' she whimpered when she had caught up with him. 'Please.'
'No, Hermione, I'm sick of this!' Ron growled; he didn't care that Hermione wanted him to stay. He had had enough. 'You choose Harry. Fine; I get it.'
'Damn it!' she yelled, tears streaming down her face. 'I chose you! That first night in Grimmauld Place! I didn't kiss you for laughs, Ronald!'
'I don't care! I'm sick of this! Sick of not knowing where we're headed next. I'm out of here.'
And with that, he Disapparated.
Hermione sank to her knees, sobbing.
'But I love you. Not Harry,' she whimpered.
A/N: I honestly did not intend this to be a tearjerker. But then I realised that that part of the chapter was, in fact, was quite upsetting. Oh well.
