It was a hot and sunny day but neither of the Winchester brothers really minded. Because out here, on the field, they didn't have to worry about their dad, or hunting, or anybody they've lost. As such, their cell phones were turned off. One of the conditions Dean had set in place. No distractions.
As they settled in the cheap plastic seats Sam bumped shoulders with his brother. Dean smiled in return, a genuine smileānot a cocky smirk or a poor substitute to hide emotional pain. It was too rare they got to be normal like this.
