Wendy, Jason, Carrie, and Kevin walked towards the food court. They all sat down together in a small table and Kevin, as usual, demanded some food.
"You want us to eat before we get on Devil's Flight? Do you have some kind of death wish?" Jason laughed.
"What's the point of coming to the food court if we're not going to eat" Kevin protested.
"He has a point, Jay." Wendy agreed. Carrie nodded.
Jason sighed. "Fine, what do you guys want?" he asked.
"I'll go with you man, I know what Carrie wants and you know what Wendy wants." Kevin said with a shrug. He stood up but Carrie pulled him back up.
"Oh no, the last time I let you order for me I ended up with a massive jalapeno burger, five chocolate bars, and an extra large hot fudge sundae. Worst stomach ache ever. I'll go and order for you." She told him sternly.
"How do you know what I want?' he asked her with a frown.
Carrie smirked. "Oh I'll just order the whole right side of the menu." She said with a wave. Jason and Wendy laughed. Jason and Carrie left for the counter, leaving Wendy and Kevin alone at the table.
Wendy inwardly groaned. Great I'm stuck talking to this numbskull. I swear that if he starts talking about the Simpsons, I'll throw my camera at him. She thought to herself. Kevin noticed her camera and snatched it with a grin.
"Kevin no that's for the yearbook!" Wendy argued, reaching for the camera.
He ignored her and directed the camera under an incoming Stacy's skirt. He laughed and Wendy took it from him with a disgusted glare. "Perv." She muttered while he chuckled.
"You have got to learn how to relax, Wen." He laughed. Wendy frowned as she turned off her camera. "Only my friends call me Wen." She growled.
She was surprised to see a hurt expression on his face. "Aren't we friends?" "No, you're my best friend's boyfriend and my boyfriend's best friend. But we don't get along. Exhibit A…" she gestured at the camera with a sarcastic smile.
Kevin frowned. "That doesn't mean we can't be friends." He pointed out.
Wendy rolled her eyes. "We're complete opposites Kevin, we can't be friends. I'm a control freak and you're… you're you. Loud and rowdy. Besides, why do you care if we're friends or not? We don't even like each other."
Kevin leaned forward. "Hey I'm fine with you; you're the one who has a problem with me. Why?" he asked, actually interested in her answer.
Wendy looked down and sighed. "I don't know, why do you think I dislike you?" she countered with a smirk.
Kevin smiled. "It could be because you secretly like me." He joked. Wendy turned red and Kevin mistook her anger for embarrassment. "I guess that answers my question." He told her slyly, while chuckling.
Wendy rolled her eyes again. "I don't like you Kevin." She told him.
Kevin wouldn't let it go. "Prove it." He laughed.
Wendy looked at Carrie and Jason who were ordering their food. She quickly leaned in forward in her seat and kissed Kevin full on the lips. She pulled back and smirked at his shocked expression.
"Is that proof enough?" she whispered as Jason and Carrie made their way back to their table. Kevin clumsily took his tray of food from Carrie and looked away from Wendy. He was more surprised at what he felt when Wendy had kissed him rather than the fact that she had kissed him. He felt…a spark. It was like magic…. What he didn't know was that Wendy secretly felt the exact same way.
