Forrest looked at his reflection in the mirror, dressed in his red robe as he was brushing his hair. He had just finished yet another simple day. Or at least, would've ended a simple had it not been for the environmental activists that attempted to kidnap him earlier. But thankfully for him, Forrest was saved by a cop named Chase McCain. Forrest was taken back to the LCPD where he was questioned and then was escorted home.
But little did the police, and the citizens knew that deep down Forrest was not the man they think he is. For secretly he is in allegiance with Rex Fury. As Forrest continued to get ready to finish for the night, he thought about the days to come. As soon as he cracks the password from Professor Henrik Kowalski, he will finally complete the next phase of his plan.
Forrest put the hairbrush down on a nearby table and looked at the mirror with a proud look on his face.
"Those poor fools still have no idea what I'm up too," Forrest gave a sinister smile. "Soon everyone will pay for rejecting my gift."
"What a shame. You always were such a bright man," said a voice.
Forrest looked at the mirror and saw a man that was familiar to him. The man was behind his reflection self. .
"What are you doing here?" Forrest frowned.
"Am I not allowed to pay a visit to my own family?" the man in the mirror replied.
"Oh don't act so loving. I know how you see me. You see me as a freak. You always had." Forrest said.
"You are just confused," said the man in the mirror, "For most of your life you felt nothing but bitterness and anger. Even to those who work closely and help you."
Forrest was quiet for a few seconds.
"Well, why should I give them joy?!" Forrest turned his back to the mirror and leaned on the nearby table. "Everyone I cared for is dead. And when I help others, they humiliate me and don't show appreciation...Not even you appreciated me."
"No. I love you, my son. I do." gently said.
Forrest closed his eyes and tried his best to conceal his anger. Tears flow down on his face. Without a second to spare, he grabbed the same hairbrush and threw it into the mirror, shattering it.
Forrest looked at the parts of the mirror that manage to stay on the wall. He once again saw his own reflection, remembering that there was no one but him in the room.
He fell onto his knees and slightly sobbed, reminding himself that no matter how much he had, he will always have a sad, pathetic, lonely life.
A LEGO City Undercover oneshot focused around Forrest Blackwell. Originally posted on my Deviantart, but I thought it earned a spot here. Inspired by the Azula's breakdown scene from Avatar: The Last Airbender.
