"I want to stop doing this."

The comment was met with silence.

"Fine." She starts packing her things. As she makes her way to the door, she looks at him, reclined on the bed, arm behind his head. His eyes follow her, but he says nothing.

With her hand on the door handle, she pulls the door but her feet won't move. With a groan of frustration she says, "Let go of me."

He gets off the bed and walks to wrap his arm around her, pulling her back slightly towards him.

"Never." he whispered in her ear. "Aren't you tired of this? Aren't you tired of fighting me? I know I am."

Bonnie says nothing.

"You know I don't like hurting you. Please don't make me, I wouldn't want to get carried away."

Bonnie starts struggling against him. She hates facing away from him when he's like this. She can't see it coming.

"Say it." She continues to struggle. He pats her cheek, rubs a finger across her chin.

"Cat got your tongue?" He asks with a smile. She tries to elbow him but doesn't have enough room.

"Fine, have it your way." There's a snap, a thud, then silence.

A sigh. "I don't know why you insist on being difficult." He picks up the body on the floor and places her back on the bed. He briefly considers covering her but figures he has enough time to shower and maybe go grab something to eat. If she's cold, the ring on the third finger of his left hand will let him know.

Kai decides to take a longer shower. He feels...sticky.
