''It does not work...''
In that summer breeze Alex had not yet fully understood the importance of that moment, she thought she was one of the many moments she would share with her beautiful blonde, who was playing to stay in balance between the green meadow and a rock of that rocky hill, she wanted to capture that moment with her camera bought in a local market -she believed that buying a camera would be able to shoot so many photos to remember the essence of that journey. Since there was her long gold haired girlfriend in her life, she wanted to keep alive every memory of her.
''What are you doing, Al?'' Piper said with her hands stretched to catch the air, trying to stay in balance with one leg on a rock.
''I'm trying to take a picture of you trying to imitate a flamingo..'' Alex said in a whisper, with a hint of sarcasm not to point out to Piper the disappointment of the new purchase, she was so disappointed with not being able to immortalize the purity of those moves that Piper was doing, she seemed like a little child trying to stay balanced on a fence, she could imagine her game in her head, as if it was a little challenge to herself: like if her life depended on standing with a leg on that stone, trying to save herself from the volcanic lava she had around. Alex smiled thinking of that scenario, seeing Piper as her little warrior trying to save herself from the adversity, warmed her heart.
Piper was no longer her princess in difficulty to save, since she had received that damn medical response, she had seen her become stronger in those days and this time Alex would try to support her no longer as a safety net but as a pillar able to keep her standing from the injustices of life.
Piper turned to the sarcastic response of the girl, looking at her for several seconds before losing her balance with her left foot almost falling. She released one of Alex's favorite smiles, the angelic one, the brunette liked to ask many times for it; for Alex that smile was a drug, every time she showed that curve, it seemed to say that everything was going to be alright.
''It means you will have to remember me..''

''It means you will have to remember me..''
Alex did not know how long it had been since she had visited this old hill, time had stopped for months in her head, it seemed that nothing had changed. Except that green lawn. Now it was a dry meadow. She did not know how many seasons had passed since the last time she had seen the smile of Piper, she still remember her favorite smile in Piper's face, looking at her as the dearest thing she ever had, because who has met true love has a full life look.
Alex began to breathe the clean air, looking around she saw that little stone where her girlfriends was trying to be an acrobat. She exhaled. She missed her loud strides of that day, a tear began to wet her pale face, followed by many others. She really missed her so much. The lava named cancer had taken her away, the pillar had broken into a thousand pieces, she had not been able to support her beautiful girlfriend in that hell. Alex approached the stone and climbed over, trying to balance with a leg imitating her girlfriend movements.
''..It's a bit hard but more beautiful, Al''
Two more tears came down on her face with those of the gray clouds, she stood there with her raised leg, getting her clothes and hair wet with the downpour that had decided to fall that morning.
The brunette understood the lesson: she would be able to stand up against the rain that finally managed to turn off the lava. She understood it. If she only understood how to abandon that class named pain.
