SoftWare: Hey, guys. New story idea I came up with.

Uncle: What is my name again?

SoftWare: It doesn't say in the game.

Uncle: I see.

Link: At least you don't have to fight giant worms. Blech.

SoftWare: With that happy note, let's begin. Your Highness?

Zelda: SoftWare does not own The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, or any of the other games. He simply

owns this story, and his Game Boy Advance.

SoftWare: Thank you.

A Link to the Past

Chapter One

A Dark and Stormy Night

In the depths of Hyrule Castle, a young girl was led away. Another girl was sitting in her cell, watching. A robed man

faced her. "When I am finished with you, the seventh, the Seal of the Seven Sages shall at last be broken!" With that,

he left. The girl glanced at the window. All she could do was hope.

(North of Hyrule Field, house of Link and his uncle)

Link was asleep when he heard a voice in his mind, saying, Help me. I am trapped in the dungeons of Hyrule Castle. My

name is Princess Zelda. Something terrible has happened to the other girls. Now, only I remain. Please, help. Link got

up out of bed. His uncle saw this. "Link, it's not morning yet." Link faced his uncle. "Uncle, I heard a voice in my head.

She was calling for help." Link's uncle looked thoughtful. "Get your lantern. We will see what is wrong." Link grabbed it

and they went outside. They traveled to the Castle Bridge just north of their house. When they crossed the bridge, Link

heard her voice again. Somewhere outside the castle walls is a secret entrance to the castle. Please hurry. "Link,

did you hear her voice?" Link nodded. "She told me there's a secret entrance outside the walls." "I know of it. This

way." They headed east, and around the wall. They walked forward and found a bush. Link's uncle slashed it and they

dropped in. However, there was a nasty surprise waiting for them. A like like was here. Link's uncle attacked it,

dropping his shield. The like like lashed out at him, causing him to drop his sword. The like like then bit into him,

piercing his skin. "Uncle!" Link grabbed the fallen sword and lunged for the monster, slicing through it and killing it. He

then faced his uncle. "Link, the bite of a Like Like is poisonous. There is nothing you can do for me, except finish this.

"Go, but do not fall victim to fate. Link, I shall always remember, our time, together." He did not speak after that. Link

held his uncle's hand for a moment, then picked up the shield. "So will I, Uncle." Link gently removed the sword's

sheath from his uncle's body, then ran forward, turning the corner to enter a new room, containing two guards. But

they were behaving rather strangely. They did not react to his presence. Link carefully snuck up on one, and knocked

him unconscious. He did the same with the other guard. He also found five rupees in the room, and put them in his

wallet. He then ran outside, into the stormy rain, and ran into the castle, to find Princess Zelda.
