Summer awoke somewhere rather dark, lit dimly by lanterns. She lay on a cold stone surface, her trusty scythe next to her. Standing up, she gazed upon her surroundings, bewildered.

"Where in the world am I?" She asked aloud, her question bouncing off the walls of what seemed like a cave. Pulling her hood down, she took her scythe into her hand and began to search her surroundings.

Upon entering another room, a large door closed behind her. She noticed what looked like a Guardian from Atlas lifting its arms above it's head, and slammed down with tremendous force, enough to shake the very ground Summer stood on. Upon closer inspection, the robot was no where near as clean. It may have been used for a mining operation. She quickly dispatched of the machine, only to immediately dodge out of the way of a bundle of dynamite. A man with a large bag on his back looked at her, but he certainly wasn't human. His face had decayed away, his flesh colored green. A putrid smell filled the air. Summer shot the man twice, putting him out of his misery. The doors opened again, letting Summer continue exploring. In the next room, she found a stair case leading upwards. She climbed it carefully.

Upon reaching the next floor, a girl caught Summer's eye. She was young, no older than 15. She wore green robes, contrasted by her fiery red hair. In one hand the girl held a collection of papers. In the other was a wooden staff. "Excuse me young lady!"

The girl turned, and gasped. "Oh! I didn't think there was anyone else here!" The girl ran over to Summer. "Hello! My name is Abby. And you?"

"Summer Rose."

"Pretty name. So what brings you to Amaranth Keep, Miss Rose?"

"Amaranth what now?" Summer had never heard the name prior to now.

"Amaranth Keep. You know, cursed ever since a group of knights from the church came to bring the Baron's daughter who's in a coma?" It was evident from Summer's blank stare that Abby had a lot of explaining to do.

After about an hour spent eating bread with honey, Abby finished her story. "So in the end, I'm here to figure out my family legacy and why exactly my parents didn't want me to know about my uncle. Seems I have to find my sister as well."

Summer nodded in understanding. "I guess I'm a far way from home. I've never hear of mage folk or anything of the sort."

The fiery haired girl tilted her head, a puzzled look on her face. "From the time they're born, every kid is taught about magic."

"I guess this is an other worldly encounter for you. Do you have a map of the world on you, in that stack of paper?"

Abby nodded, pulling a map and laying in on the ground. "That's it." Summer pointed to various spots on the map. "I've never heard of these names, nor have I seen continents that look like this. I suppose I'm a fish out of water."

"Well, no use dwelling on it. We should see what we can do about getting you home. Shall we go?" Standing up, Abby offered a hand to Summer. Taking it, the huntress hoped that her dear daughter Ruby turned out the same way.
