thanks Su for checking my english

Summary: Damon's thoughts after Katherine's rejection before his scene with Elena.

The truth is I never loved you, it's always been Stefan.

"As if I could have loved you one day, bitch!" Damon affirmed, laughing.

He took a sip out of his glass and sat on the couch, thinking again of the discovery he made earlier. He kissed Katherine, not Elena.

I'm surprised that you thought I'd kiss you back.

"Because there is something between us," he said in a whisper.

Yes, Damon knew it in his heart, the story was recreated. But he could never imagine Katherine didn't love him a bit. He always thought she was in torn with her feelings for him and Stefan. Did she play with him? No, not with the way she answered him and reacted.

"You see little brother, if you want this bitch, she is all yours!"

He lifted up his glass to make a toast, then drank. He was watching the flame in the fireplace, thinking...He had believed once again in Katherine, even if she "mocked" him by the past.

"Love makes us idiots!" Damon said, mocking himself.

He jumped off the sofa and took his phone. Maybe he could find someone tonight, to have some fun in bed, a little "blood drink" and use compulsion on the girl. He had a lot of girl's names here. But suddenly, his eyes caught a message sent this evening from Elena.

He resisted the urge to throw his phone against the wall, but he finally read it.

Damon, I'm worried about you. If you need to talk I'm here for you, you can call me.

Elena

He pushed the button "reply" but stopped himself, put his phone in his pocket, and left the house knowing exactly where he had to go. He needed to see her, the only person who cared about his life, who understood him, who had been here when this bitch he loved for 150 years broke his heart, the only woman he wished to kiss this night on the porch.

When Damon came back to reality, he was in front of the Gilbert's house. He stared at the open window and in one movement, he was inside, hoping to find someone who could make him believe in Love.
