"Psst! Zoro!" Zoro heard a whisper right next to his ear, and felt the hot breath of the speaker on his cheek. He knew who it was even without opening his eyes, and not only by the voice. It was a pity that Zoro felt more like sleeping than talking just now.

"Luffy? It's the night and I'm trying to sleep, so be quick with it", Zoro whispered, feeling irritated and knowing that it would be over quicker if he just listened to his captain, instead of trying to get rid of him. At least if Luffy wasn't in need of something idiotic, which would require Zoro getting up. Which in turn would cause an argument between them, because Zoro really didn't feel like waking, but which would still end up with the swordsman getting up anyway to do what Luffy wanted.

But the knowledge of the outcome wouldn't chance the fact that there would still be an argument because, for some reason unknown to him, Zoro still had hopes that one beautiful day, or night in this case, he would have his opinion heard. He really cursed himself for that now and then.

"I can't sleep because it's too freezing cold", Luffy whined. Zoro could very well imagine the pout on his face, though he still had yet to open his eyes.

"Take the spare blanket", Zoro advised, and hoped that the captain would leave now, while Zoro wasn't yet fully awakened and would be able to continue his sleeping from where he was.

Like that would happen.

"We don't have a spare blanket, Zoro! Don't you remember? I ate my own blankie in my sleep last week and I'm using the spare blanket all the time", Luffy whined. If Zoro hadn't been trying to sleep and hadn't been irritated from the disturbing of his slumbering, he might have burst out with laughter. Yes, he did remember that one!

"Take Chopper's blanket, he doesn't need it in the first place", Zoro suggested, and felt the sleep already trying to abandon him. If he didn't get rid of Luffy quickly, he would wake up for real.

"It's all covered up in reindeer hair! One would get asthmatic fit from it even without having asthma!" Luffy complained with a bit louder voice. Zoro snorted and finally woke up. He covered his accidental laughter with couple of coughs, because Luffy seemed to be serious and would not appreciate Zoro laughing at him.

"Well, did you have some kind of solution in mind, then?" Zoro asked, and sighed. So much for continuing his sleep; now he would have to fall asleep all over again. However, sleeping dropped to the second place in his list of worries when Luffy's lips curved into a huge smirk. What was the captain planning? Hopefully his plan didn't have any amount of Nami or Sanji in it, because Zoro really didn't want to have to deal with either of them in the middle of the night, especially with a business of stealing blankets.

"I'll sleep by your side!" Luffy whispered, lifted Zoro's blanket, and climbed next to him before the swordsman got a word out of his mouth. Luffy squirmed for a while, before snuggling comfortably flush to Zoro, throwing an arm over him and fisting the other one to his own chest. He sighed contentedly.

"Hmmwarm…" Luffy murmured, snuggled a little closer, and went out like a lantern.

Zoro blinked couple of times in confusion before smiling and circling his arm around the slender body of the other man. The captain had probably planned this from the very beginning, but that didn't disturb Zoro the lightest.

"Good night, captain", Zoro whispered, and placed a little kiss to Luffy's forehead before falling back to sleep peacefully.
