Yay, my first full length story! I really hope you guys enjoy it.

Reviews and opinions are appreciated.

This first chapter is pretty short and drably, but it gives a little background of how Cosmo and Wanda met and where they currently are in their relationship. Hopefully the story gets more interesting as it goes on.

Winter finals were quickly approaching for the students at the Fairy Academy. One more year to go and they will graduate and be on their way to becoming professional fairy god parents.

Everyone was prepared for the upcoming winter finals that were scheduled to take place next week. Everyone except for a certain green haired fairy.

While all the other fairies were spending their Saturday afternoon hanging out with friends or playing in the snow, Cosmo was sitting at his kitchen table with textbooks strewn all over. He was absentmindedly listening to his tutor.

It was so hard to focus on anything other than the beauty bestowed in front of him. Her swirly pink hair hung in lose curls around her shoulders and framed her perfect face. Her pink eyes were so cheerful and alluring, and her smile was breathtaking.

Cosmo couldn't help the smile spread across his face, as he propped his head up with his hand, leaning on the table. He loved every minute he got to spend with her, even if it was just doing school work.

Cosmo and Wanda had been friends for a little over a year. They met two summers ago, at the diner where Cosmo worked, when he accidentally spilled her order all over her. It was love at first sight for Cosmo. He couldn't get her out of his head. He spent every waking moment thinking about her and every moment asleep, dreaming of her.

Occasionally, they would run into each other around Fairy World and Cosmo would become a bumbling mess and more clumsy than usual. Wanda found him to be quite eccentric, but fun to be around.

When fall came that same year, Cosmo was ecstatic to see Wanda walk into his class and take a seat right next to him. She had always been so kind towards him and would often help him with his worksheets, when he didn't understand the problems. Which was most of the time.

It wasn't until earlier this year that Wanda discovered how much he truly struggled with his school work. She overheard Jorgen lecturing him about his grades and telling him if he failed this year, he would be held back. Later that day, Wanda approached him and offered to tutor him.

Of course Cosmo accepted. To him, this was another opportunity to spend more time with her and maybe even get to know her better.

Unfortunately for him, Cosmo later found out that she had a boyfriend. But not just any boyfriend. She was dating none other than Juandissimo Magnifico, the most popular fairy among the ladies at school.

He was what all the girls wanted. His shiny jet black hair flowed in a slick ponytail. His physique was well defined with toned muscles. His skin was flawless and his accent made all the girls swoon.

All the females gushed over him and his rippling muscles. Every time he flexed, his shirt would rip off and he had no shame in strutting his tanned muscles in front of them. The only thing he loved more than the attention from the ladies was himself.

Every time Cosmo saw Wanda with the sexy Latino fairy, his heart hurt. He didn't understand how someone so sweet, selfless and friendly could be with someone so arrogant and cocky. On the other hand, Juandissimo had a lot of things Cosmo didn't.

He had looks, charm, grace, wealth, smarts and confidence. And Cosmo had, well, he didn't really have much. But he did have love. A lot of love just waiting to be given to someone, other than his mama.

The truth is, he knew Juandissimo was probably a better suit for Wanda and it always hurt him to admit it. And even though he secretly pined for her, he was thankful for the friendship they had.

"Cosmo?"

"Huh?" He snapped out of his thoughts. "Oh, sorry. What were you saying?" He asked sheepishly

"I was asking you if we can continue this tomorrow?" She smiled

"Oh, yeah sure." He looked at the clock on the wall. "Do you have to go now?" He said, hoping she would stay longer.

"Juandissimo is outside waiting for me." She said and began putting her books in her backpack.

"Oh." Cosmo couldn't help the disappointment in his voice.

He looked out the kitchen window and saw the buff fairy leaning against his fancy car, with his buff arms crossed over his chest and admiring himself in the passenger mirror. Cosmo cringed.

"Are you going to Cupid's party tonight?" Wanda asked as she zipped up her bag and smiled at him.

"I..." he gasped when he turned to look at her. Her eyes were shining, as they always did when he looked at her. Oh how he wished he could stare into them forever.

He quickly cleared his throat and broke his gaze.

"I don't know. Are you going?" He asked walking around the table, clumsily bumping into it.

Wanda stifled a laugh. "I think so."

They began walking to the door and Cosmo opened it for her. Wanda couldn't help the slight blush forming on her cheeks. Cosmo was always such a gentleman, something she wasn't used to. Sure, Juandissimo opened doors for her. But it was either so he could check out his reflection in the glass, or because he wanted to check her out from behind, which she never failed to notice and it gave her an uneasy feeling when he did. But when Cosmo did it, it was genuine and just felt different.

"Maybe I'll see you there." She smiled at him and they lingered for a second, looking at each other.

Juandissimo moved away from his car and walked up to the two on the door step.

"Hey babe." He kissed her cheek. "Ready to go?" He asked, giving Cosmo a curt nod.

Cosmo sneered while a knot formed in the pit of his stomach. He hated seeing this guy touch Wanda and he hated it even more when he saw him kiss her.

"See you later, Cosmo." She said and the two walked to Juandissimo's car.

Cosmo stood in the doorway watching as the two got in and drove off. He let out a sigh and closed the door.
