Chapter 1: Saved

When my eyes opened, I saw Notch standing there.

"I'm dead, right?" I asked.

"No." Notch replied.

He slapped me across the face.

I looked around.

We were still in the nether.

"I defeated the pigmen." Notch said.

"Let's make a temporary base."

I started gathering the red stones.

"What is this stuff?" I asked.

"Netherrack." He replied.

"If lit, it burns forever."

"Are we going to build a house out of it?" I asked.

"Yes." Notch said.

We built a miniature fortress.

After an hour, it began to look like a castle.

"We are probably going to stay here for a while." Notch said.

"So be prepared."

I finished lighting the last Netherrack and sat down.

"Netherrack looks nice!" I said.

"Not really." said Notch.

"I am going back to the real world to craft some dispensers."

I watched Notch re-enter the portal that we came from.

"What am I going to do without you?" I asked.

He was already gone.

I walked back to the base and sat on a brown block.

I tried to get up.

I was stuck.

"What is this?" I yelled.

A ghost shot a fireball from the sky.

I had to act fast, but I was stuck.

I pulled out my bow and arrow, and shot at the ghost.

It seemed that the arrows just phased through it.

I pulled myself free and fired another volley of shots.

No luck.

I grabbed an axe and chucked it at the ghost.

The ghost easily dodged it.

I had to hit it from close range.

I grabbed a fishing rod from my bag.

I caught the ghost in its tracks.

I reeled it in but it shot a fireball at me.

I lost my grip and fled into a cave.

I tripped and fell down a dark passage.
