Zuko never thought that he had any similarities with his father.

Ozai was bad, evil and sought the control about everyone in his reach. A man who only look for his advantages.

Zuko was different. He knew about right and wrong and tried to reach the best compromise for all. Yes, he did make mistakes in the past but he regretted them. The young Fire Lord was a gentle and – especially for his age – wise man.

Aang didn't only see the differences between father and son but also the similarities between both of them.

Sure, Zuko was a good guy and Ozai a living devil but always when Zuko told Aang that he should go to bed or shouldn't drink any alcohol Aang had to think of his friend's father.

When other people talked about Zuko and Katara … well, they always talked of Zuko and Katara or the Fire Lord and his Lady. Aang on the other hand always refers to them as mum and dad and in a unique way that's what they were. The only persons who would tell him what he should or shouldn't do.

In the beginning this was Sokka's part but as soon as he and Suki had children he hadn't the time anymore to think of Aang in such a way too.

Oh yes, Zuko was sure that he hadn't any similarities with the former Fire Lord. It just wasn't his fault that he had to talk to Aang in such a way. The only reason he did it was that there wasn't any other person except Katara who would do it.

But he knows one thing for sure: As soon as Aang would want to talk about girls or (even worse) getting married it was Katara's turn to talk any sense in this boy.

The second thing he believed in was that Lu Ten wouldn't be such a trouble maker as the Avatar was.

It's been a while since I last wrote an English story. My last was about three years ago – or so. I'm not sure … I think I've made a few mistakes but I looked it over and couldn't find them. So when you see one, please tell me.
Maybe I'll write more Avatar fics but that depends on you and your comments …
