After the island: Ralph Mikaela Siebel
Oct. 14, 2010
He was relieved he was finally going home. Home from the island, from the murders, from Jack. He will never forget his time on the island. No one would. They couldn't, not even if they wanted to. He misses Simon and Piggy. He wishes Jack would have never went savage, then maybe neither of them would have been killed. The things he is glad about is, he wasn't killed on the island and his family again.
Once he got home, after dinner, he was in his room. He was just laying there thinking about what would've happened if they hadn't gotten rescued, when he fell asleep. When he sleeping he had horrible nightmares. He dreamt of Simon's death. Then piggy's. The he dreamt of the littluns screaming and crying in there sleep. Ralph woke up yelling and startled his mother while she was making dinner. She ran up to his room and came in the door. "Ralph! Why are you yelling? What's going on? Are you okay?" Ralph's mother asks or almost yells out at him in a panic. "N-nothing." Ralph stutters out. He then starts sobbing. "I don't believe your sobbing about nothing, Ralph. Are you alright?" She asks as she comes over and hugs her shaking and sobbing son into her body closely.
"It was just a bad dream." Ralph says after he quits sobbing. "Are you sure that's all it was, Ralph?" She asks softly, in fear her son might start sobbing again. "Yeah, positive." Ralph says even though he knew that was a lie. He was sobbing for Simon, for Piggy, for everything that had happened on the island, he was sobbing in relief for being rescued, for not being killed by Jack. "Alright well I'm going to go finish dinner. It will take about 20 more minutes. Don't forget to wash up before hand." She said, in the sweetest tone. Then she left without waiting for an "Okay I will mom" or anything like that. He sat down and sighed, rubbing his hands across his face.
He was relieved and happy to be home. He was happy to sleep on his own bed, and not the hard ground. He was happy to be able to shower. He was happy to have his mom and dad back. He was happy to not be in the blistering heat every day. All in all he was happy, and he was also relieved to be alive, and that he was rescued.
