CHAPTER 1

This is a story created by the aforementioned people on Berk's Forumvine, and has no basis in the real storylines of Wings of Fire or How to Train Your Dragon

Luna was getting ready to go to Jade Mountain Academy. Those she knew who could morph from human to dragon would go with her. Luna was a NightWing, a deep purple or black dragon, of which some were gifted with the ability to read minds and/or see the future. However, she was currently in human form.

"Mom, why do I have to go?" Luna whined.

"So you can learn about the other dragon tribes, Luna," her mother Nala responded.

"I know everything about them, it's them that need to learn!" Luna gestures to Hiccup, Astrid, and Heather. Nala sighs, "I know, but you should at least show them around."

Luna scowls and mutters, "Fine." In a gentler tone she says, "I'll miss you, mom." Luna hugs Nala, and turns away.

From behind her, a voice calls out, "Come on Luna, let's go already!" This was the voice of Astrid, one of Luna's good friends.

"Alright, you impatient RainWing!" Luna quickly morphs into her NightWing form.

Note—RainWings are very colorful and can change colors and camouflage, as well as spitting acidic venom.

Hiccup comes up from a little ways away, looking concerned.

"Luna… I don't know how to transform. Can you teach me?" He sounded pretty worried.

Luna rolls her eyes. "I can't really teach you how to do that right now, but I have a potion which can help you." She hands Hiccup the potion, which he downs in one gulp. He transforms into another NightWing a few seconds later.

"How do I look? Is it cool?" he inquires, looking at Luna. "Yes, Hiccup, you look fine," Luna looks over to Heather, "Heather, you don't know how to transform either. Which tribe would you want to be?"

Heather frowns thoughtfully and says, "I dunno, what do you think I should be?"

Astrid morphs into her RainWing form. "Okay, I have no idea how I just did that. I think Heather should be a SeaWing!"

Luna smiles, "Yeah, a SeaWing would be perfect."

"Okay, but how do I change into one?" Heather inquires.

"Use this same potion." Luna hands Heather a potion, and she morphs into a large SeaWing. "Whoa!" Heather exclaims. "This is cool!"

Luna grins at her friend's delight. "Okay guys, we have some flying to do! Let's go!"

The four fly off toward the Claws of the Clouds mountains, as the sun sets behind them.
