Aww, this one was really fun to write. I love baby Klaine. :3 Funny story, when I was in kindergarten, we never really took naps but then one day we got a substitute and she did do naps and made everyone put their heads down and sleep. I thought everyone had died. ...

I do not own Glee.

Blaine liked kindergarten so far. He liked learning and his teacher who was really nice and smelled like peaches.

But there was one thing that he hates about kindergarten: nap time. He absolutely hated nap time but not for the normal reasons a five year old would hate it. Before coming to school, he never had a nap time. He just slept at night. Otherwise, sleeping in the middle of the day was so weird. And just a little scary.

He could never really tell the teacher why he hated it, because it felt kind of silly. But he hated the silence. He hated the sun being covered with the curtains and making it dark inside. And he hated how everyone else in the room was so very, very still. His eyes darted around the room, trying very hard to listen to anything that might be out of the ordinary.

Nothing. Complete silence.

They're all on the floor, three people to a mat and all covered in a blanket. One boy laying next to him was already asleep. He tried poking his shoulder but all he got was a loud hush which only made him feel worse.

Why was everyone on the floor? Why was it so quiet? Blaine whimpered quietly, too scared to make too much noise in the otherwise silent room and covered his head with his thin blanket when he felt someone poking him. Slowly, he uncovered his face and peeked out from under the blanket only to find big, shiny blue eyes looking at him.

"You okay?" the boy asked his voice high and very soft. Blaine no longer felt like crying, at least not too much. He sniffled, using his sleeve to wipe his cheeks and eyes.

"Don't like naps," he said, his voice wavering.

The other boy stared at him wide eyed with curiosity, "How come?"

Blaine bit his lip, wondering if he should tell the truth, if he should trust him. But the boy looked so concerned, he couldn't help but trust him.

"S'too quiet…Don't like it. M'scared."

The other boy gave him a small smile that made Blaine's tummy feel all swoopy.

"Don't hafta be scared. Teacher jus' wants us to sleep so we play more, tha's all."

Blaine tried to smile back but his lip quivered and that only made him feel silly to be crying which only made him want to cry more and the circle went on. He didn't want to seem like a baby to his new friend. He was about to reach up and wipe at his eyes again when he felt tug on his sleeve.

The blue eyed boy pulled his arm down and laced their fingers together.

Blinking in awe, Blaine looked up to his face from their hands.

"My mama holds my hand like dis when I get scared. Now you won't be scared eitha."

Blaine can feel two heart beats through their interlocked hands and immediately, all sense of dread float away. He smiles widely, genuinely for the first time since nap time started.

The boy giggled; glad to see his new friend look happy, "My names Kurt."

"Blaine," he said, feeling an odd rush of boldness now that he knew the other boys name, "Your eyes are pretty."

Kurt's cheeks flushed softly but he grinned anyway, "Yours too. Sleep Blaine, okay? Then we can play Power Rangers."

Blaine nodded, feeling excited about these new developments. They leaned in close, laying shoulder to shoulder with their hands locked between them.

Blaine really, really loved kindergarten. And naps weren't that bad either.
