Thanks a lot, you abandoned me. You only cared about Sora. You picked him. I could've been the key bearer. I could've been the hero. I saved you, Kairi, is this the thanks I get? You acted like you were worried the last time you saw me. But I know when I come back I will be forgotten. Sora will take my place. Just like always.

Riku

"Riku," she whispered. "Don't be stupid."

A brunette in a colorful jumpsuit ran up to the skirted redhead. "Hey-ah Kairi," He smiled. "What's that?"

"Nothing." The girl lied—and lied well.

The brunette suspected nothing and was easily distracted the next few seconds. He stood some yards away, watching the fish swim in the clear ocean water below. She scanned the message again; the only communication Riku had allowed her.

How could you be jealous of Sora? She thought. Riku, what can I do to convince you?

Crumpling the paper in her hands, she screamed, "He's so hard-headed!"

"Kairi?" Her spiky-haired companion ran to her side. "Are…you okay?"

She started to nod, but shook her head wildly.

"Is it something you want me to know?" he asked.

"No, Sora." She murmured. She kept her head down, struggling to catch her breath. The boy shrugged and walked back. He had tried at least. When he was out of earshot, she sighed, "You should've said something."

This is why I didn't talk to you, Riku; you kept everything inside.
