He falls in love the first time he sees Jack write a song on the window. He breathe don his room window and hummed, it was beautiful. It was also the first time in three months since he arrived that something besides dread was in Jack's eyes.
Bobbie couldn't help but fell for it, those sparklers, that tiny smirk.
Bobbie stepped into the room, "Hey kid, mom says lights out."
Jack flinches back and looks to the floor, his hands wiping at the window as he turns away.
"Ok."
Bobbie stares at the window then his new brother.
After a long moment Jack looks up shyly, the nervousness apparent in his eyes.
"Was there something else?"
Bobbie nods to the window, and takes a step further into the room. Jack immediately steps in front of the window.
"You don't need to hid anything from us...from me." Bobbie stops a few feet from him.
"Fine," Jack nods but doesn't move.
Bobbie fights against the urge to grab him and force him not to be afraid. Instead he gives a firm nod and turns around, he can almost hear Jack relax. He thinks of how great it's going to feel one Jack feels relieved when he enters instead of when he leaves.
Bobbie opens the door then pauses and turns, "Hey, Jackie-whatever that was," He nods toward the window, "it sounded pretty good."
He watches in surprise as Jack blushes. He turns back when Jack's voice stops him again.
"Thanks," It's so soft he barely hears him. But he does and it makes him smile.
He exits the room hearing another small statement come toward him. "Good night Bobby."
When he's settled into his room, the room dark and his mind full of thoughts of his new little brother, he smiles. It really was a good song.
