Theme 001 out of 100: Introduction
A rarity, Seventh Heaven empty, not a soul stirring. A brief respite for the building and the trinkets it held. Clean, idle glasses lined up neatly behind the bar that have been held by people filled with joy, sorrow, and regret. A lazily drifting ceiling fan carelessly left on in a forgetful moment by an occupant beforehand. Documents, confirmations, and little scraps of paper spread haphazardly on an office desk upstairs. Framed pieces of art, drawn by children, sparsely littered the upstairs hall. All collecting dust in silent vigil, all lifeless witness to the thousands of scenes that had occurred in this bar, restaurant, and home.
Cloud Strife and Tifa Lockhart, leading actors of this play called life that this home silently watched, entered carrying large, brown-paper bags with them.
"Oh, someone left a fan on before they left.", Cloud said flatly.
"Must've been Barret.", Tifa said, placing the bags onto the bar counter.
"Oh well.", Cloud responded following Tifa's action. "I'll go get the rest alright?", he said jerking a thumb outside.
"Alright, I'll start putting stuff away.", she said smiling a little before Cloud left.
Another scene come and gone. Hundreds and thousands going on daily, and the actors too busy to notice.
But the actors keep playing their parts in this play called life, scene after scene, and the actors never the wiser.
My friend LockhartAveneu is also doing the 100 theme challenge with her story, A Hundred Themes, go check it out after this (unless you came here from her shout out, then just review). Short, but it's just the intro. Though constructive comments are encouraged.
