"Give it back!"
"Heh, if you want it so bad come and get it."
A little girl called after her stolen toy, chasing the thief around a grade school yard. The little boy she chased after laughed at her holding her toy high in the air. He obviously ran faster than her.
"Come on, Sara. Gimme your best shot!" He taunted, she ran as hard as she could, but to no avail. The young man kept laughing until he ran into something. Looking up, he saw an angry teacher staring back at him.
"Butch, how many times do I have to tell you? Watch where you are going!" He scolded, noticing the doll in his hand just as Sara came to a stop behind Butch.
"I thought I also told you to stop bothering Sara." Butch crossed his arms "So what, she's just a freak anyway. Keeps talking to the doll like it was real!"
"Give it back now, then you'll come with me to the principal's office." The teacher ordered in a stern kind of voice
Butch didn't reply and simply handed the doll back. The young female hedgehog squealed with joy and walked away. Butch looked back and saw the doll propped over her shoulder. It was looking back at him, or so he thought. He rubbed his eyes, the doll had resumed it's life-less disguise.
"Come Butch, you're in a lot of trouble as it is." the teacher called, the child obeyed without hesitation.
-minutes later-
After recess ended, and free time was given to the class, Sara found an orange table toward the back of the classroom. She found crayons and a coloring book for her and her doll to play with.
"So..you wanna tell me what happened outside today?" Someone asked, Sara glanced up long enough to see it had been the same teacher Butch crashed into.
"Before he went home, he said that you're doll gave him a death stare." he continued as he sat on his knees in front of her.
"I'm sure he's imagining it" Sara replied passively. The elder fox felt a bit confused. "Well, next time it happens let me or another teacher know alright?"
"Okay...i guess." She still maintained a monotone voice. The teacher stood and left after that. After he was out of earshot, Sara heard a voice, particularly male. She giggled a bit, and whispered idly to her toy.
The final bell rang, everyone poured out of the room. Sara was last, just before she got up, the teacher stood in front of her. "Remember, if you're in trouble just call for help alright?" She just nods and heads out the door on her way home.
"So, any plans tonight?" She asked, though no one was around to hear her. The doll climbed (on it's own) to the top of her head. "None, at first..but it looks like I might spend more time with Butch."
"You aren't gonna kill him are you?"
"Why..of course not, I just wanna have a friendly chat with him. That also involves a nine inch steel blade."
Sara laughed a bit at the comment, not really caring what would happen. She just wanted to be alone for the evening. (With her favorite toy of course).
I just wrote this of the top of my head, and i kinda want to see where it goes...
