A Dream Come True
The day had finally come. K'ysra was returning back with the last of the rejuve for J'onn's wife. This was a very emotional time for them both.
"Do you know where she was buried?" K'ysra said softly.
"Yes. I would never forget." J'onn said with a sad expression.
"Then, let's not prolong this. Let's go." K'ysra responded. J'onn nodded and then opened the portal into the other dimension.
A few hours later…
J'onn watched as K'ysra placed his wife's body gently on the table. J'onn choked on his own tears as he saw that his wife still looked as beautiful as ever even in death.
"Where is the rejuve?" J'onn asked.
"I have it placed on the table over there. I think you should have the honor of bringing her back. Remember J'onn, there is a chance that this may not work and this is all we have."
"I know, but I will do anything to bring her back, K'ysra. She means the world to me! I am only heartbroken that I can't bring my children back as well."
"Well, we can only try my friend. Now let's give this a go." K'ysra whispered, now watching J'onn gently place the rejuve in his wife's mouth. Once it was emptied, they sat back and waited. Nothing happened.
"No…NO!" J'onn pleaded, now tears starting to form.
"J'onn, calm down!"
"You don't understand! This was my last chance to bring my wife back. My flower…my heart…," J'onn cried out, now letting out a yell that would pierce your heart. K'ysra could only kneel down and lower his head in respect for the dead and for his friend's pain. J'onn continued to cry over his wife's body as if he too was dying.
"M'yria'h, please…please…come back." He whispered, his tears pouring over her face. Within a few seconds, his eyes shot open when he felt a cold-like hand touch his face. He looked down and saw M'yria'h look at him with love and admiration.
"J-J'onn…I'm here. Please don't cry." She whispered, now trying to get used to breathing once more.
"M'YRIA'H!" He yelled, now pulling her into his arms and kissing her all over her face and neck. She smiled and allowed him and she too weakly kissed him back, still trying to regain her strength. He then turned to K'ysra, now happy tears streaming down his face.
"THANK YOU, THANK YOU! IT'S HER! SHE'S ALIVE!" J'onn bellowed in happiness.
"You're welcome my friend." K'ysra smiled widely. He then noticed M'yria'h weakly smile as well.
"Thank you. Thank you for bringing me back." She said softly.
"You're welcome." K'ysra said, now leaving the room and letting them embrace and enjoy each other. The lovers once separated were now reunited.
