Sarah's Birthday
A Virtua Fighter fan fiction one-shot
Disclaimer: I own nothing
Wembley Stadium, London, England, UK - 4 July 1987
14-year-old Sarah Bryant made her way to the front row of Wembley Stadium as the Sun shone in the Sky. Accompanied by her older brother, 17-year-old Jacky Bryant, Sarah smiled slightly as she felt the excitement well within her - a birthday trip to London to see the biggest band in the World - and a front row place, too!
This is the best birthday ever! She thought to herself as the suspense was too much for her to contain. Come on, come on! Where's the band already!? Eventually, the show itself began at approximately 20:00 hours, just as the Sun began to set in the Sky. By this point, the atmosphere was electric, and the crowd were becoming anxious and impatient. Suddenly, a harsh drum machine beat played at twice the level of anything previously came out, and the young heiress and socialite jumped up at the noise.
Yes! They're coming! She thought as the band showed themselves one by one... and for the next two hours, Sarah felt herself enshrouded in musical bliss - even Jacky got into the groove on some of the longer, more progressive rock-based songs. After the final encore medley and the last of the colourful lights of the band's light show returned to white, the Moon was shining high and bright as fireworks illuminated the courtyard of the stadium. Sarah took the opportunity to sneak backstage with her pass along with Jacky... and came out of the stadium holding an autographed ticket, on which the following words were handwritten:
"Dear Sarah, Happy Birthday and Happy Independence Day - T, P, M, D and C."
'What do you think of this birthday present, then, Sarah?' Jacky asked with a smile - he had never seen his sister this happy before.
'Best. Birthday. Ever. Jacky.' Sarah smiled and hugged her brother tightly, the two of them leaving Wembley Stadium and heading for London, the City of Light.
The End
