Again she had to let the things that meant the most to her go. Of course her happy ending was always close but was always out of reach. She was letting them all go it was like have her heart ripped out of her chest over and over. She was overwhelmed with grief and sorrow. At this moment it would be better to run, to hide anything to get away from the pain. The two strong arms wrapped around her waist, soon she wouldn't remember him or her little family that was a little messed up and a little broken but they were doing alright. Her sons who she loved will all her heart soon she wouldn't remember. Even though the two boys were not hers by blood that didn't mean anything to her, love is what makes a family. That's what she always told them before they fell asleep.
She stood there replaying her life. Of all the things she could of done but didn't. But some of the things she didn't regret because it brought her happiness for a while but that didn't last long. She was alone in a world she didn't know. Her victory was seeing other people suffer. She needed someone that she could trust and not care about her past. A child, she adopted her son and named him after her late father who did everything in his power to make his little girl happy. Even if that meant he was to die. Years of chasing the woman who killed her true love, wasn't really worth it. She could have been happy with her second chance, her soul mate, but she was too scared to approach him. "Maybe it's all about the timing" he would tell her every time she thought about her mistake. Those simple words brought her the greatest comfort. He was the only one she opened her heart to in a long time. Her walls were so thick no one dared to try and break them down. Except him and his son, his little four year old who she loved as soon as she saved his life.
She was going to lose everything now. The green smoke overcame her and everything went black. The witch only wanted her, to destroy her happy ending. But what the witch didn't know is that her happy ending was already ruined. In the darkness behind her closed eyes flashed her life, of what if could have been, it was a nightmare. But no matter how much she struggled to open her eyes nothing worked. Her eyes were destined to never open again for she was to suffer a fate worse than death. The witch put a curse on her that overtook her, the witch won. Nothing could reverse the curse, at least nothing that she knew of. But she didn't tell anyone, not that anyone would care. She was losing it, but a little voice was telling her 'don't give up, he loves you' she couldn't take it. If she wasn't stuck in the eternal sleep she would be crying showing her weak side, which up until a couple weeks ago only her son had seen. The son who she would never get to see grow up into the handsome man she knew he was going to be. She
was never going to see his smiling face again. Her happy ending was not meant to be.
For she was a villain and villains don't get happy endings.
