Nobody knew the real reason why Hook hated Tinkerbell; they just assumed that she had wronged him in some way, never bothering to ask for the real story. No, it wasn't that she had wronged him. And, if he was being honest, he wasn't sure why he hated her; he just knew it was long before their meeting in Manhattan. She had defended the crocodile, just like he knew she would.

No, it was something bigger than anybody would have guessed. She was the one that left him broken and alone, his heart numb and his body void of any warmth it had when she was with him. The betrayal he felt when she left had stayed with him, and made it impossible to have another occupy his bed. He missed her, plain and simple.

But he would never admit that.

*Manhattan*

Hook stood in front of the crocodile that took his Milah from him, as well as his hand. He couldn't decide which one he was more bitter about. Piercing the flesh above Gold's heart, Hook smirked with smug satisfaction when he saw the light slowly fading from his eyes. He felt a hand on shoulder, and was surprised when the hand tightened and spun him around.

Her blue eyes flashed dangerously, and he knew she was mad. She curled her hand, and with great force, slammed it against Hook's jaw. He felt – and heard – a crack, and cursed. She never left her defensive position in front of Gold, and he mentally groaned when he realized he'd have to move her with force.

Slipping his hand and hook around her thin waist, he threw her against the wall, pressing himself against her. She grunted, glaring at him defiantly. He appreciated the position they were in, and smirked. "Back where you belong, lass. I'm sure you're enjoying it." Using whatever energy she had left, she kneed him between the legs, causing him to double over and topple to the ground.

Leaving him there, Tink grabbed Gold and pressed all the buttons, praying one of them would be kind enough to let her in. She heard a loud buzz, and – with one final look at Hook – she dashed inside, heading to Neal's apartment, hoping to whatever God was listening to Gold would make it.

And the story's just beginning.

I'm sorta back. Hopefully I'll be able to write more stories for my newest obsession: Once Upon a Time. I mean, Hook's just amazing. And Jefferson! Oooh. Anyway, enjoy the first chapter for my new story "A Summer's Night". More to come, I assure you.
