Fireworks

Merida, Rapunzel and Hiccup stared at Jack oddly. First, they were dragged into the future. Then they learn they're Guardians who've long since been chosen, and now, Jack was gonna show them 'fireworks.'

"We know how fire works." Merida scoffed.

Jack laughed.

And laughed, and laughed.

The trio stared at him.

He officially lost it.

"NO!"Jack said between giggles, "fireworks are...sparks of light in the sky that explode!"

The trio was unsure as Jack shoved them through a portal to his lake.

"JACK!"

Jack smiled as Jamie ran up to him. It's been a decade since their battle with Pitch. Jamie was now 20 and in college. And a great deal taller than Jack.

"Jamie, you remember Hiccup, Merida and Rapunzel, right?"

Jamie nodded."Are they here to see the fireworks?"

"They don't even know what they are."

"I bet your past self didn't."

"Nope, but I saw them as they came around, and now, I can't wait for them!"

Jamie laughed and motioned them to sit with him and his friends.

Rapunzel wiggled her toes and played with her long, golden, hair.

Hiccup wondered whether he should have brought Toothless.

And Merida scoffed, what was so special about fireworks?

"How long do we have to wait?" She asked after several hours.

Not that she minded the wait.

Much.

At least the food was good.

But it did bring Jack, Jamie and co. amusement when they ate the food they brought.

"Why did you make a dog into a log?"

"Why would anyone eat a mellow marsh?"

"I didn't know cotton could be made into candy!"

And more.

Eventually, it got dark.

"IT'S GONNA START ANY MINUTE!" Jack and Jamie cheered.

Merida sighed in relief.

Then, a BOOM filled the air.

Rapunzel jumped in the air a few feet.

She gasped when she looked up.

Merida and Hiccup looked up as gasped as well.

Jack smiled as he looked up as well.

There, up in the night time sky, were hundreds upon thousands of fireworks. Bursting in spirals, falling in sparks.

It was mesmerizing.

"Those," Jack smiled, "are fireworks."

The trio smiled as more flew into the air.

The sky lit up in colors.

Blues and greens.

Red and purples.

Oranges and yellows.

Every color imaginable seemed to paint the sky.

"Thanks for sharing this with us Jack," Rapunzel whispered.

"No problem."

The foursome wrapped their arms around each other, their eyes glued to the spectacular show in the sky.
