"You flooded my house!"

Sora Read winced as the shriek reached his ears Mila seconds after being yelled. He sighed and shook his head as he watched his best friend resist the urge to throttle his brother. Roxas Read had done it this time.

"Technically," Roxas defended weakly "it's only the basement."

"I don't care about that," Sora winced again at another shriek. How had Roxas managed to do this one? "I care about the fact that I am actually amazed that in the five minuets we left you alone you managed to flood my house!"

Sora had to fight with himself to stop his hands from going up and covering his ears on the last three words. Man, how could girls get so high in octaves without hurting their voices?

"Calm down Kairi," Roxas tried one more time "We'll figure out something."

"Calm down," Kairi Andrews shrieked once more gesturing around franticly "Calm down!? I'll calm down when you figure out the brilliant idea on how to explain to my parents this mess!"

Sora scratched the back of his neck as he looked down into the basement of his friend's house. It was not a pretty site. There was water a foot deep throughout the entire basement, random pieces of in adamant objects were floating around, and it looked like one of the pipes had burst.

Really, how had his brother managed to pull this off?

"You even burst a pipe," Sora said in wonder.

"Ugh," Kairi shouted exasperatedly before pivoting on her heel and stomping up the stairs "Figure it out Roxas!"

Both brothers winced when the door slammed and footsteps pounded across the kitchen floor. Sora turned towards Roxas and shook his head and stared at him.

After a minute Roxas turned and looked at Sora and yelled "What?"

Sora sighed and shook his head once more before he too pivoted on his heel and walked, more calmly than Kairi, up the stairs.

"What," Roxas said watching his brother "You're not going to help?"

"Nope," The boy replied putting his hand on the door knob, twisting, and opening the door "You heard the woman. Figure it out."

Sora stepped over the threshold of the door and started closing the door as his brother started to protest.

"What," Roxas said desperately "Oh, c'mon man! You got to help me! We're brothers. Doesn't that mean anything to you? Sora-"

He was cut off as Sora shut the door and made his way to the living room where he knew his friend was.

"That was a little mean," She said as he sat down next to her on the couch.

"I know," Sora replied stretching his arms over his head "But it needed to be done."

Down in the basement Roxas was surveying his mess as he scratched the back of his head much like his brother would.

Now, what to do about this one.
