Rose hadn't been back to Bad Wolf Bay since the last time she had been there, on the worst day of her life. It was late, she'd left her parents and Mickey back at the hotel; they understood why she wanted to be alone. The last time she'd stood here, she'd had to say goodbye to the man she cared about more than anything, the man with whom she had quite literally gone to the end of the world. Her Doctor.
Now, as she looked up at the clear, clear sky, all she could do was remember allonsy-ing her way through it, before everything had fallen apart. She remembered the joy she'd felt the day she'd learned how to pronounce Raxacoricofallapatorius correctly, and the first time she'd seen his new face, the face she would grow to care for so, so deeply. But out of all of the moments they'd shared, the one she most firmly recalled was when he had first grabbed her hand to whisper, "Run."
Standing there, she gazed up at the stars, wondering if maybe her dear Doctor was traveling through the galaxies right then, wishing and hoping he would find her again just as she did. She was sure there was someone new with him by now, after all, it had been several months since they had said goodbye, and she didn't think he would be able to handle loneliness for too long. She knew that while being without him had been nearly unbearable for her, she had gotten through it because of her family and Mickey, who had graciously backed away from any claim he may have once held on her heart and now only tried to make her feel better on those days she couldn't see the point in getting out of bed.
She looked at those stars, and wished and wished her Doctor would return someday.
