I just adore them and was thinking about their cuteness so I decided to write about it.
I own nothing :)
Her first memory is of him. The first thing she can remember is watching the Marauders run around the house while they're on break from Hogwarts. She vividly remembers the tall, awkward boy who was nice and didn't ignore her like the other boys did.
It's that attention that she gets from him that starts the hero worship. He is so nice and he lets her practice changing her face and he laughs when she practices animals. He tells her stories of the pranks her cousin Sirius plays on the stupid Slytherins.
When she finally goes to Hogwarts she's disappointed that she ended up in Hufflepuff and not Gryffindor like he did, but when he sees her next he tells her he's always liked the color yellow. She loves her house after that.
On the day she graduates her parents and the Marauders show up. After it's over she runs over and hugs him first. She misses the angry look that Sirius gives him and the knowing smile on her mother's face.
The day that Sirius is thrown in Azkaban is horrible. Her cousin isn't a Death Eater! As her family cries, the last of the Marauder's comes to visit. Her mother takes one look at his broken expression and he to is wrapped in the sad and angry group hug.
That was the last time he visited until the Golden Trio saved Sirius. She spent those twelve years growing up and becoming an Auror. The next time he saw her her face lit up and they caught up over coffee, well coffee for her and hot chocolate for him.
They began to hang out more and more until it suddenly stopped. Sirius had apparently gotten wind of it and was furious at his friend for hitting on his much younger cousin. "You knew her when she was just a little kid! Come-on Moony, find a nice girl our age!" "I'm not dating her Sirius, it's just coffee." "Exactly! You don't even like coffee!"
She was heart broken, at some point in her life the hero worship had turned to love and now she didn't know what to do with herself now that he had abandoned her. So she threw herself into her work and her mother worried about the change that had taken place in her daughter, so she talked to Sirius. "What did you do?" "I didn't do anything Meda!" "Well how do you explain the fact that Nymphadora's hair hasn't been pink in weeks and she works late most nights?" Sirius stuck by his statement. "Well if you didn't do anything how come Remus doesn't come 'round anymore?" "He's too old for her! My best friend is not allowed to date my baby cousin!" Andromeda smacked the man and she worked on fixing the mess Sirius made.
There was going to be a party because "You work too hard Nymphadora. You need to relax and take you mind off things." So she got ready and hid in her room until it was time for the party to start. Even after being blasted off the family tree her mother was a Black through and through and the party was perfect. Towards the end of the night she was slightly drunker than she cared to admit and that was when she ran into him. They talked and laughed and had a good time. When he was about to leave she drunkenly kissed him. He turned a shade of pink to rival her hair and rushed off.
The next time she saw him was when she was visiting Grimmauld Place and Remus walked out of his bedroom in his pajamas and she had never seen anything more adorable. He turned paled and mumbled something about leaving when she strode across the room and kissed him again.
And the rest, is history.
