Author Notes: This was just quickly thrown together- a break in my writing the next chapter for Requiescat in Pace. I love writing poetry and I thought this would spring me out of my writer's block. :) I hope you enjoy it. It's mostly about Ezio falling in love with someone. You get to choose whom.

I Am Only An Assassin

I soar across the sky into a bleak sunrise

I whisper through the night with the same reprise

I caress guilty skin with a blade, unashamed

I repress feelings and memories unnamed

I grasp the edge of sanity with one intent

I avenge those passed, end those who can't repent

I protect they who are weak and assist the strong

I carry the burdens and cease what is wrong

I silence all the crying with grace so discreet

I race over rooftops and land at your feet

I fight everything that binds one to another

I cradle only my sister and mother

I fear to have fallen at a glimpse of your face

I live solitude with every step erased

I need you to convince the fool that he is indeed

I breathe only still that you won't see me bleed

I bring only body, spirit lies here with you

I fight my battles as my heart will stay true

I am only an Assassin- in love at first sight

I work in the dark as to serve the light
