The boys' mouths dropped open.
"You don't mean..." Harry sputtered.
"They were the match gone wrong?" Ron whispered, staring at the snogging professors. Hermione and Padma nodded but shushed them. They all turned their attention to the pair in the window across the courtyard.
"Minerva, have I told you I love you?" Severus said in a low voice, trailing kisses down Minerva's neck.
"Only a million times a day, but I don't mind hearing it again." the Gryffindor Head of House said.
"Mmmmm..."
Just the children's luck, Minerva happened to open her eyes and see the gaping students.
"Severus, turn around!" she hissed, pulling away from him. Severus whipped around. Sadly, the kids were too frightened to move, and stood frozen to the spot.
"So we have a group of eavesdropping Gryffindors." Snape sneered. Minerva turned away in an attempt to calm her nerves.
"I'd say 10 points from Gryffindor for snooping around in the affairs of the teachers, and 10 more for being out of bed after curfew." he continued. Minerva spun around and gave the children her best glare (which didn't really work because she lacked her glasses).
"Off to bed! Go on!" she said. They all but ran to the Fat Lady, hissing the password and scrambling into the Common room.
"Did you see them? It was like a bloody muggle film!" Ron exclaimed, collapsing on the sofa. Harry nodded as he faked a barf into the wast bin.
"Come now, Ronald, it wasn't that bad." Hermione said, yanking the bin out of Harry's hands.
"Yeah, it was sort of cute." Padma said in her thick Indian accent. Harry looked from the two girls to Ron.
"Oh. My. Merlin. They agreed on something." he said.
"Check the skies for comets! Protect the children!" Ron yelled.
Elsewhere:
"Now where were we?" Severus asked, pulling Minerva back to him. She quickly pulled back.
"But what if someone sees, Severus? What if-"
"Oh, let them." Severus growled. Minerva was swept back into his arms and found herself purring.
