"My One And Only"
Okay, so, this is a BH story taking place immediately after the second part of "Mr. Walsh Goes To Washington". I wanted to do a cute Brenda/Dylan thing, with them dealing with the afterglow. Enjoy. JJJ
Brenda Walsh woke up the next morning with a smile on her face. She had familiar arms wrapped around her, arms that hadn't been wrapped around her for quite a long time. And it still felt right.
Dylan McKay woke up a moment later, when he felt Brenda's eyes on him. "Good morning.", He said, his voice husky, just the way she remembered it to be in the early morning hours.
"Morning." She turned in his arms so that she was facing him. "So last night… was amazing." He nodded. "As good as I remember it." She smiled. For her it had most definitely been better.
She had to admit to herself that she came over here to do exactly this. She wanted to have one last night with Dylan before she left for London in a few days. He was the only man she ever loved and she wanted to have a recent memory of being with him.
"So it was good for you, huh?", She asked. Dylan smiled and nodded. "It was definitely good. Better than I remember, actually." Brenda smiled and said, "Me too." They shared a kiss.
"Do you remember the first time?", She asked. He nodded. "How could I forget? The Spring Dance, in that amazing hotel room." Brenda nodded. "You were so gentle, so caring. You worried about me the whole time. And it was the most amazing experience of my life."
He smiled. "Yeah, mine too. It was the first time I had actually made love to someone. It wasn't just sex." She looked at him. "I never knew you felt that way. Why didn't you tell me that?"
Dylan shrugged. "I don't know, I just assumed you knew." But she hadn't. And hearing him say that made her feel wonderful. When they had made love last night, he had told her he loved her again.
"Are you really going to London?" Brenda nodded. "Yeah, I'm really going. I have to Dylan. It's an amazing opportunity. But…you can always visit me. I'll always have room for you."
He looked into her eyes. "Really?" She nodded. "There's never been anyone in my life that could make me feel the way you do, Dylan. Even now. I love you." He ran his thumb along her bottom lip.
"I love you too Bren. And I have never felt the way I feel when I'm with you." He pulled her closer. "It just sucks that you're leaving now, after we found each other again." Brenda smiled. "We found each other again because I'm leaving."
That was true. They probably wouldn't have reconnected if she hadn't been leaving for London in just a matter of days. But she was glad. This meant the world to her, being this close to him again.
"Do you regret last night?", She asked. Dylan shook his head. "Not in the least. It was amazing. The most amazing experience of my life." He leaned in and kissed her softly, causing her to smile.
"I should probably go…" But Dylan shook his head. "No, you don't have to go. Can't you just stay here for a little while? I just wanna hold you…" She just couldn't say no to him, she never could.
"Okay, I'll stay." She leaned her forehead against his. "I wanna stay." He nodded. "You have to go. We had last night and we have today. I love you." She smiled and said, "I love you too. Always." He nodded and repeated, "Always."
