Scientific Observation

There was a man walking down the street. He was wearing a red coat and a pocket watch and he had white hair and red eyes. He also had a pair of rabbit ears on top of his head. This man's name was Peter White. He seemed to be looking around for something. Whatever he was looking for he spotted and then he ducked behind the nearest tree. Anybody who knew Peter White knew that he was hiding from a certain brunette with sea green eyes.

"There's my Alice," Peter thought as he watched the girl walk down the street he had just been on. He knew very well that Alice didn't want to see him but he could not resist coming to look at her. He had to see his darling Alice no matter what the cost was.

As the girl approached his hiding spot Peter became visibly more and more excited. His darling Alice was almost there. He knew that she would come this way because she always did when he stalk—observed her.

Alice was looking around knowing that something -probably Peter- was watching her. She looked around but couldn't see anything. She didn't know until it was too late that Peter was the one watching her.

"ALICE!" He cried bounding out from his hiding place when she was close enough for him to tackle in a hug. He knocked her over to the ground with the impact of his tackle hug.

"Peter! Get off of me!" Alice yelled struggling to escape his grip. Peter let go of her reluctantly and stood up offering her a hand.

She ignored him and got up brushing dust off of her blue dress. She looked at Peter suspiciously and said "How do you always know where I am?" She thought that she knew that answer to that already but was curious to see what he would come up with this time.

"Because my love for you guided me here," Peter said within a second.

Alice was not satisfied with this answer. "You were stalking me again weren't you?" she said accusingly.

"No! I would never stalk my darling Alice!" Peter said looking for a way to distract her.

"Peter," Alice said exasperated. She knew he was stalking her and wanted a confession.

"That was scientific observation. I'm not stalking you Alice, I was just… observing you," Peter said pathetically, berating himself for such a stupid response.

Alice couldn't believe Peter's response. She stared at him for a few minutes in shock at the excuse he came up with. Peter watched her wondering what was wrong with her. "So you weren't stalking me, you were 'scientifically observing' me? Alice asked.

"Yes," Peter said after a moment wondering where she was going with this.

Alice felt victorious. Peter had finally admitted that he was stalking her and she could use it against him. She was going to say something about it when she looked at his face. He looked confused. Alice thought it was kind of cute despite her disgust towards him for some of the things he had done in the past.

Peter was wondering why Alice was staring at him and then he remembered that she hated it when he was in his human form so much to Alice's surprise he changed into a rabbit. "Alice do you want to go to the palace with me?" he asked her.

She was looking at him in his adorable rabbit form and couldn't help but feel bad for him. "He's so cute and he looks so helpless like that," Alice thought to herself.

"Okay, I'll go," Alice said giving in.

She picked Peter up and started to walk towards the castle. Peter was happy to be doing something with Alice and relived that she had not gotten mad at him. Alice thought that Peter was okay sometimes and that she would get him for this little episode today next time she saw him in his human form.

This has to be the shortest story I have ever written.

Anyway, tell me what you think... or if I messed up Peter's character...

Thanks for reading.
