Ok, this is a backstory, and relationship of a OC character to the Salvatores. But that will come later, so... Enjoy?

It all started with the Originals. I don't remember the year, but it was a Very long time ago, close to 1110 A.D. Mother had told me, "Never ever leave the cottage." I was 4 years old.

From then, I learned quickly how to live on my own. Mother came and visited me at least on my birthday, which I understood why she couldn't come that often. She had other children, and if I was found, both of us would be in HUGE trouble. One day, I was out harvesting the crops I had grown, since I couldn't go into town and get food there, I heard a Snap!

I looked up to see a guy, slightly younger than I was, standing near a tree. His hair was regular length for the time and he had sharp features. His eyes and hair were a chocolate brown. He hadn't seen me yet, which I wasn't surprised because of the knee high crops I was hiding in. He looked lost as he called, "Hello?"

"Are you lost?" I watched as the guy shot around, mostly surprised.

His expression changed, "Yes, a little." His face reddened when he saw me stand from where I was hiding.

"How is someone a little lost? In my opinion, you're either lost or you know where you are," I finish with a cock of me head. There was a fanit calling.

"Elijah!"

The guy, apparently Elijah, dipped his head, "I should be getting back. I wouldn't want to get you into trouble." He seemed like he genually cared.

I smiled, "With who? I'm alone out here." Elijah looked confused again, but there was another call for him. I waved slightly, "Bye."

The calls sounded closer, and there was a familiar voice. "Elijah, what're you doing out here? I told you to never go out here, especially alone." Mother.

"There's no threat out here," Elijah spoke quietly. I could see Mother's outline as the sun started to set.

"Don't EVER come out here again," Mother started to walk toward where I was. "Go home, Elijah." Elijah nodded and started to walk toward the town.

"Mother, is that one of my-" She nodded slightly. "Am I in trouble? Mother?" She didn't reply, just walked into my little cottage. I followed her, "Is there something wrong Mother?" Mother poured me a cup of tea and handed it to me.

"Drink," she coaxed lightly. I nodded and took a sip, something tasted off. My eyes fluttered, Mother had drugged me.
