Disclaimer: I own naught.

A/N: 'Lightspeed' and 'Titans Together' made me squee, resulting in this fanfic.

Charcoal Unicorn

With two words, she was gone and left nothing behind but a charcoal unicorn.

&

Seemore saw it happening. The night before, before the battle, before it happened. He saw her packing her things; saw her gaze at the flower that boy had left her; wilting away like the old Jinx he had known.

He didn't tell her. He didn't tell Gizmo or Mammoth or Wyykd. He just kept it to himself, his own wilted flower in his hollow eyes.

She was leaving.

&

Did she care? He didn't know. When they thawed, a few months later, the five of them went home. He went to her room, her former solitude. Nothing was there, not her dresser, not her bed, not a single wilted rose. Nothing but pieces of ripped paper.

Wyykd found him when it was dinner time, sitting on the floor, piecing together the shredded paper like a puzzle. Kneeling next to Seemore, Wyykd helped him like it was one of their puzzles they did when Jinx was mad.

&

Gizmo found them, his brows knit in annoyance, throwing his pathetic insults when they didn't appear and their food grew cold.

"What's wrong with you crud-sniffers?" He said angrily. "She's gone. Deal with it!"

But he didn't mean it, because he sat beside them and helped out.

&

Mammoth found them, an empty glass of milk and plate of cookies in his hand, the plate with a bite out of it. He said nothing and sat beside them, his big hands mixing with theirs as the fixed the broken pieces.

&

Seemore placed the final piece.

The rumpled paper was a picture. Two words were scrawled in her bold print beside her art.

'Nothing personal.'

With two words, she was gone and left nothing behind but a charcoal unicorn.

A/N: Eh. It'll get better, I promise!
