A-N I do not own any own the characters though I certainly wish I did, reviews AND flamers will be appreciated as I need to know what I'm doing wrong, (this is my first fiction ) and is also very short.
It's obviously a songfic and the inspiration is down to the song "Wishing on a Star", the theme tune from Tenth Kingdom.
"I'm Wishin' On A Star…."
That's all she seemed to do now, wish upon stars, gazing emptily out of the top floor window, smooth lily-white cheek resting upon a long nailed hand, round amber eyes staring but never seeing, a constant stream of scalding tears trickling down her cheeks as she looked away to the silver stars twinkling up ahead, her cascade of long red hair falling in one straight sweep down her back and in messy tendrils around her face, every now and again, the wind would blow into the room and tease a few strands of her hair, gilding them silver under the moonlight, she sighed as the wind pulled a few of these pieces away from around her face and into the midnight breeze, why did he leave her?
"To Follow Where You Are…."
How she wished she could follow him, god knows she hadn't tried, the numerous cuts upon her slim wrists saw to that, yet nothing worked.
Her life didn't work without him, gone were the days of joy when she'd spent hours simply gazing into those perfect smoky grey oval eyes of his, her heart lurched as she thought of him and tears pricked her eyes again,
"And I Wish On All The Rainbows, That I See…"
There was no sunlight in her life now, she shied away from it, spending hour upon hour sitting in a dark corner of her room, tears speckling the carpet beneath her, nothing went right and she didn't seem to care that the floor was littered with shards of glass from where she had hurled the picture of the two of them together across the room, to her, walking upon those razor pieces was nothing compared to the pain she held in her heart right now, raising her head slightly, she peered across the room from her position atop the window-couch and her eyes fell upon the silver framed photo itself, both faces alight in happiness, they would smile from the glass forever more, not knowing one of them would soon be dead, the other eternally heartbroken,
"I Wish On All The People Who…Really Dream,"
Every dream she had now was tainted with his smiling face, it would forever haunt her in the few dreams she had now that her sleep was limited, she returned her gaze to the moon and found that it was fading fast, the sky turned a pale watery gold shot with a brilliant flamingo pink, the sun began to rise, a pure golden orb rising above the edge of the world and she breathed a shuddering sigh; there would be many more dawns without him now, her heart could only dare to dream upon the hope that one day, they would be together once more.
"I Wish On All The People Who…….Really Dream."
A single tear fell from her gleaming eye and onto what remained of the broken frame of the photo, the first shaft of sunlight peeped through the closed curtains and danced over the shards which surrounded her on the floor, her fingers were covered in glistening blood from the glass yet she felt no pain, for her there was no pain to compare with heartache, Ginny crossed the room and flung open the curtains, the sun blinded her for a second before the tears fell down her cheeks again and she muttered four words which tumbled painfully from her blood red lips,
"I Love You Draco…"
