Ron Stoppable had a Western-style revolver pointing straight at Joe Chill's back. He was close enough to make missing the shot impossible. This was Ron's chance to bring justice & peace to his parents. This was his chance to avenge his loss. He could shoot & kill Chill right here & now, in the seediest of Triton's restaurants, & nobody would even so much as give him a glance when he walked out of here.
With the memory of the wild time he had just gotten from his girlfriend, Kim Possible, fresh in his mind, Ron placed his finger on the trigger. Right then, a familiar voice from right beside him said, "Ron, Ron, Ron."
He looked to see who the speaker was...& nearly dropped the weapon.
"Loopy? Loopy Lynch?!" he breathed.
"Yes. It is I," said Ron's old friend & ally, as he sat down across from Ron.
"Are you so desperate to fight criminals that, since Joe Chill was found not guilty at the courthouse, you have decided to lock yourself in to take them on 1 at a time?" asked Loopy after a short time.
"Actually, right now, I see about...7 of them," he replied.
Loopy looked around, then said, "I count 6, Ronald."
Ron looked dumbfounded for a split-second, then said, "How did you manage to track me down like that?"
Loopy told him, "The world is too small for someone like Ronald Stoppable to disappear, no matter how deep he chooses to sink. You have traveled all over Triton in an attempt to understand the criminal mind & how it functions, but whatever your original intentions...you have now become truly lost."
Ron chuckled to himself for a few seconds, then said, "Be honest with me here. Have you fallen in with some vigilante group or something?"
Loopy immediately replied, "Oh, no, no, no, no, no. A vigilante is just a man locked in the scramble for his own gratification; he can be ignored, destroyed, locked up, or some combination of the 3."
Loopy got up & walked around to Ron's side; what he had to say next was, Loopy felt, vital to Ron's survival.
"But if you make yourself more than just a man; if you devote yourself to an ideal, & if they can't stop you..." Loopy lowered his voice to a whisper-"...then you become something else entirely."
Ron looked at Loopy & said, "Which is...?"
Loopy looked him square in the eyes & told him, "Legend, Mr. Stoppable."
Ron gaped at him. Loopy kept calm as he got up & said, "In a few short hours, Kimberly Anne Possible will awaken. If the both of you are ready to move up from petty criminals to true threats to justice, there is a rare blue flower that grows on the eastern hills. Pick 1 of these flowers. If you can carry it to the biggest house in Triton...you may find what you were looking for in the 1st place."
Loopy walked toward the door, & just as he reached it, Ron asked him, "&...what was I looking for?"
He turned around, smiled at Ron, & said, "Only you can know that."
With that, he walked out of the restaurant. Ron did as he was told, & the rest is history.
Well, there you have it. Go read Classic Cowboy's stories. They kick ass.
