Okay. Quick hello. Matt is so special I actually wrote up something and posted it here.

Dedicated to my awesome maniac friend, Kimchi (a.k.a. GREENRANBOWS). This is for you!

It's one perspective, Matt and the reader/OC. It changes perspective whenever there are two italic sentences right next to each other or something. Uh...At the end it was both of their thoughs. Yeah? Understand?

Gotaa go now ~HAPPY BIRTHDAY MATT!

P.S. Please review!

It was a cold winter's day.

"How are you feeling?" I asked.

He had broken his leg while getting into trouble with Mello.

"Bored, I can't do anything." He moaned.

I smiled and pulled out his precious toy, "Call me saviour later."

His eyes widened with glee, as if he were a toddler, "Thank you so much!"

But the mischief in his eyes never left.

"Hide it though; the nurse is keen on taking it away from you."

"I will!" He turned it on, the familiar chime of the start up played.

"Before you go, can I give you something?"

We were both 15.

"Hm?" He said, already immersed in game play.

So much hope that was crammed in my stoic self.

"You do know what today is, right?"

"Yeah..." He mumbled.

So little knowledge of what was to happen next; to reverse time again...

It was a cold winter's night.

"Hello?"

I was so careless. I forgot.

Her footsteps were almost inaudible.

If I had opened my eyes.

She placed the goggles on my head, her fingers light and nimble.

If I had told responded to her touch.

"Happy birthday Matt." She whispered.

If I had ignored her from the beginning, at least.

She bent down and placed a soft kiss on my forehead.

"I love you." She said quietly, and I heard her walk out of the room.

I wouldn't be so tangled inside.

It would mark by 15th birthday. The last time I would see her.

To reverse time again.

It was January 28th, 2010.

"The police are chasing the car down now, the suspect in unidentified at the moment."

I was innocently surfing channels.

"The suspect is now cornered in a ring of police cars."

It was easy to recognize him.

"The suspect is coming out of the car."

Yet I was so selfish.

"Our sources say the suspect is a male."

I prayed that he still remembered me.

"The police officers are armed and ready to fire at the suspect. Anything could happen."

I prayed that he loved me.

But I hoped she would be watching this.

"Since when were the Japanese allowed to carry such big guns?" I smirked.

So she could know that I didn't disappear entirely.

"Alright, you caught me. I'm part of this whole kidnapping thing."

Even if it were to watch me die.

"I bet you have a lot of questions to ask me."

I was selfish to leave her with so many questions.
I was selfish to not pray for his life.

I only hoped that at least she knew
that I loved him.

Or at least
to know that I didn't mean to
not leave her a message
or leave him an address
in case she came looking for me.

If I had just responded
or did it while he was awake
or if I listened to her earlier
or I had made him pay attention to me that day

She would be alright
He would be okay.

But it's too late
to think of this now
but I can't help but wonder
what is he thinking now?

Is she mad?
Is he scared?
Has she changed?
Is he different?

"You won't shoot –"

She couldn't pull herself away from the screen.

He breathed in one last smoke and then his mind went foggy.

We are so close to each other.
We are so close to each other.

She wasn't aware of the tears that streamed down her face.

He thought of everything that led him here, until everything went black.

But we will wonder in solemn secrecy.
But we will wonder in solemn secrecy.
