(Ok so I was listening to Taylor Swift's song 'Dean John' and started thinking of John Winchester and this parody popped into my head. It's from Sam's point of view when he is leaving for college.

All spelling mistakes are mine and mine alone, I did look this over but if you see any that I may have missed please point them out to me.

I don't own Supernatural or the song 'Dear John.'

I know it's not the best parody I did but I like it.

I hope you like it too.)

Long were the days when

My nights once revolved around fiends

Counting the motel rooms

Praying the plans won't fall through, again

And my brother accused me of turning my back

But I swore I was done

You taught me to kill

And hustle pool and count cards

And I acted the part

But still I dreamed of getting away

Wonderin' if there was more to life than just hunting

Well I'm not sorry for leavin' and this letter is to let you know why

Dear John, I see it all now that I'm gone.

Don't you think I was too young

To be savin' people

The boy with no mom

Cried the whole way home,

You should've known.

Well maybe it's me

And my desire to get away

Or maybe it's you and your desire

To go and get revenge

And you'll add my name to a long list of hunters who don't give a dame

And I won't look back in regret how I did what you asked when you said,

"Don't come back."

Dear John, I see it all now that I'm gone.

Don't you think I was too young

To be taught to kill?

The boy with no friends

Didn't speak whole way home

Dear John, I see it all now it was wrong

Don't you think eighteen's too old

To be told to stay

When I need to go, I should've known.

You are an expert in training

And hunting and drilling

Never impressed by me acing my school tests

And Dean is the perfect solider hunting with you

Cause you've worn him down

But I got out

Before you could get me

So just blame yourself

I'm getting on this bus

And leaving' this sad empty town

Dear John, I see it all now that I'm gone.

Don't you think I was too young

To be hunting?

The boy with the gun

Ran away from home

I see it all now that I'm gone

Don't you think I was too young

To be training?

The boy on the bus

Cried the whole way there, you should've known.

You should've known

Don't you think I was too young?

You should've known.
