Cloud and Aeris had recently began taking walks together after sunset, their hands entwined and lips exchanging loving words. The rest of Avalanche paid them no attention for they were used to it by now, even Tifa had nothing against them as she could see how Aeris could make Cloud smile genuinely, and the barmaid just had to admit they were made for each other.

Right now, the two young lovers were walking under the moonlight amongst the trees and Cloud could not remember a time when he had felt so…peaceful.

"Do you think we'll always be together Cloud? Even after death?"

Cloud blinked, the question taking him by surprise. He was used to Aeris speaking about "tomorrow" a lot; but death she had never uttered about once. She smiled at his expression and waited patiently for an answer.

"Yeah, I'd like to think so anyway," he admitted sheepishly, his hand reaching up to scratch his head. Aeris suddenly grabbed it and pulled it back down with a small shake of her head.

"Don't do that, it doesn't seem natural to you," she whispered before placing a peck on his lips. Cloud blushed a little but nodded, keeping his hands by his side until Aeris let her fingers slide through his.

"I like the sky," she said suddenly, earning a funny look from her partner. She laughed slightly at his raised eyebrow and tilted her head towards the sky.

"I like how it's always above us, always watching over us. It's where the Planet takes you after you die," she explained.

"What's with the talk of death?" Cloud asked.

Aeris sighed softly but did not answer his question. She just smiled and shook her head. She did not mind whatever the future held, so long as she walked under the moonlit sky tonight with Cloud.
