A Lovely Mess
Disclaimer: Nope. All belongs to JKR other than the plot bunny that bit while I was disposing of some old cornmeal! Stupid rabbit! Another Snarry double-drabble for my adored Aery! Kisses to her for the betajob!
A cloud of flour filled the air. Harry sighed and waved his wand to disperse the dust floating about his head. He glanced down at himself; he was covered in the stuff. He heard a groan close by. Defensively, he turned around. Leaning against the doorframe was Snape; his eyes closed and fingers pinching the bridge of his nose as if to ward off a headache.
"Yes, I know Severus. I haven't learned anything since first-year Potions!" Harry grumbled, anticipating the tall man's scathing comments.
"You said it, I didn't." came the dry reply.
A flick of Harry's wand cleaned up most of the powder clinging to him. Severus stepped forward and flicked out a handkerchief. Leaning over, he dabbed the remaining dust off Harry's upturned nose. Tucking his handkerchief away, he whispered into Harry's ear.
"However, unlike Longbottom, you always looked adorable standing there, shell-shocked and covered in that day's attempted potion, even if I was annoyed at the time."
Dropping a kiss on the tip of the now clean nose, he smirked and sauntered out of the kitchen.
"Glad to hear you thought I was cute!" hollered Harry at Snape's retreating form.
An echoing laugh was Severus' reply.
